On Thursday, March 16, I'll be opening for my very good friends Al Petteway and Amy White (http://www.alandamy.com), who are two of the greatest musicians anywhere, as well as two of the most inspiring and positive folks on the planet. Al co-produced my latest album "Across the Bridge (http://bansheewerks.com/frivolities/geetar/across_the_bridge/index.shtml)" and slays on four tracks. I'm really looking forward to the gig. It should be a great night. I will be doing a short, opening set at 7:30pm (sharp!). Al and Amy go on at 8pm.

Al and Amy's shows frequently sell out, so please... buy tickets early. They are $15 for the night. Come on out and get your pre-St. Patty's craic on!

You can get more information on Jammin' Java, tickets, etc., here:

-To order tickets by phone: 703.255.1566 x8.
-To order tickets on the web: http://www.prestocart.com/cgi-bin/order.pl?ref=jamminjava&fm=1

Hope to see you there!

I will be there... wouldn't miss a chance to see Al & Amy and Mr. Golay all in the same evening!

Any of you local-types want to meet me there? Maybe do dinner at JJ before the show?

I LOVE Jammin' Java! I've played there twice, once in the open mic and once (with my singing partner as SASS!) as featured artists for the open mic. Make sure that you order a copy of the video footage--we were able to make ours into a full-fledged DVD!

I can vouch for the time she played as SASS! because I was there. That's great the you were able to make that into a DVD. :D You should put some clips up.

And Jim...I can probably come and at least meet you for dinner. I don't know if I'd be able to stay and watch the show...it's too far in advance right now. Just remind me as we get closer. Maybe some of the other locals can join us as well. Have to hang out with you before you leave us! :p

Soon as we can figure out how. I have more space on my solo site (our band site is with tripod.com, which doesn't have that much bandwidth), but my webmaster is familiar with only text and graphics--music clips are a challenge to him. (he's a tech writer in his real life).

However, we were able to take the bonus live audio track of "Because We Can" and drop it into our upcoming studio CD, which we're finishing tracking Sat. and mixing the rest of the weekend.

great place to play - and hear music. played there a few times myself. nice to hear oneself through a p.a. that sounds... musical. and the monitors don't sound like they have popcorn popping in them. novel, that...

not sure i want any video... would have to spend a lot of time in hair/makeup... ;)

hope we see ye!

Tell him to do some internet searches on embedding the video into your site. It really isn't too hard to get video up. A trick I use if I don't know how to do something is find a website that does what I want to do and then look at the page source. That's how I first learned how to embed music and video into a website. It shouldn't take him too long to figure out.

CaptBill and I will be dining at the Outback across the parking lot before the show. If any other locals are attending the show (and you really should be), send me an email (jim@jimtozier.com) and we'll save you a seat at the table. :)

Really looking forward to the show, Mike!
