Sorry for the late notice.
There will be a really good 8pm show at the Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College tonight. The female trio Na Leo Pilimehana, which in Hawaiian means the voices blending together in warmth, will be performing all the way from Hawaii.
The Na Leo girls perform contemporary Hawaiian music and feature beautiful harmonies. The band is great too…. Ben Vegas & Brian Kessler on guitar, Randy Aloya on Bass, Aron on Keys and Rod Esteban on Drums. I think that Brian was part of the compilation that won the Grammy for the Hawaiian music category last year.
I am not involved in promoting this show. I'm just a supporter who hopes that enough people will attend to encourage more Hawaiian artists to come to New York.
