I was just curious if any of you who live in So. California or specifically South Orange County were going to be commuting each to day.

I'm in north OC, off the 91 near Imperial Highway, and I'll be commuting. It'd be great to stay over where most of the folks are, but I've been a little too splurgy lately, so I'm making up for it (a little) on that end. Are you thinking about carpooling?

Yes, I was thinking about that carpool lane especially dealing with some of the heavy Friday traffic heading south. As I recall, I think there is a carpool lane for most of the trip. I live in Dana Point a few miles from the 5 so I would be able to drive if you're interested.

Thanks. It sounds like a good idea, but I need to check a few things, including driving routes. I'm just a short hop from the 15, and it's a more direct route for me than the 5, since it runs almost directly into El Cajon. I'll let you know.

You could take either one of those to Route 52 East and get to Taylor Guitars via Mission Gorge Road and Cuyamaca Road. let me know if you want those directions. It's actually a bit more direct than going down to I-8...

52 to Mission Gorge is definitely the way to go ... I avoid I-8 whenever possible.

Especially on a Friday afternoon...

Well, actually, I wouldn't want to be going east on 52 on Friday afternoon either ... but it's better than 8 ...
