OK Guys and Gals;

Here is the deal!

What?

North Texas Get Together
October 29th
12:00am - 7:00pm

Where?

The Anderson Guitar Gallery & Frisco Community Center

6811 Oak Street
Frisco, TX 75034
214-387-4050
Fax 214-387-8234
info@andersonguitargallery.com

How?

OK, this is the tricky part. We will be using the Frisco City Community Center; the cost will be $150 +/- 10%. The Anderson Guitar Gallery is not allowed to charge, take donations, gifts, etc to cover the cost of the building. This is a city rule and CAN NOT BE BROKEN.

In order to compensate and keep the out of pocket expense minimal to Anderson Guitar I propose we do cover the cost via a couple of ways.

1. AGF Get Together T-Shirt will be available for order for $20. If 15 people order an AGF Get Together VI shirt we will cover the cost of the center. The T-Shirt will most likely be white with black lettering, with the date and event info on it. You will be able to order your size and have it mailed to you within a couple weeks.

2. Buy $20 worth of strings, pics, etc.

3. One really nice member who attends buys a Santa Cruz, Larrivee, McPherson, G&L, Olson, etc! :D

My concern is I know Anderson Guitar Gallery hosted a "Bass" event where 75 people showed up. Anderson Guitar Gallery paid for the food, community center, etc. They did less than $50 worth of business and they hosted this as an all day event. Needless to say it was a bit disappointing that they did a great job of hosting an incredible event, created a great atmosphere for meeting friends and not a single person helped support a great "Mom & Pop" music store.

Of course any of the 3 above would be great (#3 is really just a joke, but hey?). I am confident if we support them they will support us in a great event now and even a bigger and better one in the future.

Please RSVP as soon as you can. I really would like to get a head count. We had at least 35 people at the last Dallas get together. It was great! Remember electrics are welcome! We will have multiple places to jam, so don't worry that you will get blasted out. There will be several quite places for the fingerpickers!

We will figure out food as we get closer, I would suspect we can do some grilling or just go get pizzas.

Okay, we're in for four (4) shirts, 1 XL, 2 M, 1 S. Plus I'm sure we can manage to buy some strings and/or other things.

Come'on guy, don't you want to hear some "Haggard" or "Jones"?

Someone needs to get ahold of "Stetson" to make sure I won't be the only one playing a little country!

i've been taking lessons nearly 3 months and can't even play scales yet. i'm there to learn at the feet of the yodi masters.

of course i'm considering paying you back for all the noise you made last year and balancing out any drummer who dares to show up by bringing my new 150w amp, turning the effects to 'british invasion' with 99% distortion and playing out-of-tune power chords! [g]

Kirk Herbstreet said A&M was 'the biggest disappointment in college football this year'. That sucked to hear, but I think we can salvage a winning season at the least and maybe get an invite to the toilet bowl.

OK, sorry to hijack the thread, so who's going!?

I can't truly commit to being there at this time. I have a possible gig that day (wife's family reunion). If the gig falls through, we will be coming up, since we both had so much more fun at the last AGF picnic than we have ever had at a family reunion.
