I'm opening a show in Mill Valley at 142Throckmorton theatre. Come see my one-of-a-kind 24-string Harp Sympitar in action on stage.
The show headliner is Drew Youngs with some amazing jazz fusion players. Drew himself, to me, is one of the most under-rated nylon players alive. He plays John McLaughlin perfectly at will, but sings like a combo of Sting and Peter Gabriel. It's a truly unique sound with reflections of Weather Report and Mahavishnu.
I just got back from playing on stage at the Harp Guitar Gathering III up in Salem, OR with Stephen Bennett, John Doan, Muriel Anderson and all my other harp guitar playing friends. I have some really interesting pieces to play Friday, including lots of crazy tapping, percussive hits and only the 2nd live performance of my original compositions which I'm recording these days.
It's going to be a great evening. Hope to see you there!
