of course i'll need to resurrect this thread from oblivion soon enough... but...
just got off a successful trip out west to healdsburg 2005, during which time we did a small, very fun agf gathering where we met some nice folks and played a bit. we had four performers and a bunch of nice other folks who brought guitars, ate, drank merrily and twang'd liberally.
i'd like to do same next year at the newport guitar festival (8/4-6/06) if:
1. there is interest
2. we can find a suitable venue - house concert, small place, etc.
the festival is located on goat island, rhode island. basically newport.

timed for the newport folk festival. can be a bit of a scene.
so... who's in? suggestions for venues? anyone have a place where they'd be willing to host? i'd do it in a nanosecond, but portland is a bit of a drive for such a thing.
