Are the bells part of the act? :) I'm bummed that I won't be able to make it - last vacation weekend with the wife and kids before they go back to school the following week. Bad planning on my part... missing Healdsburg and the Golay/Thurman/Moore show...

Well, if Brandt's not coming, I'll definitely be there ;)

Seriously, David, let me know if there's any PA/tech support stuff I can bring.

David - I have no problem bringing the entire PA. It's pretty light and takes only a few minutes to set up.

Brandt - come on buddy, you know we all love you ;)

Hi David,

Thanks for hosting this event! I'll be there with my wife and daughter.

I google mapped your address and Im only~10 min
north of you on Bollinger Cyn Rd :)

Let me know if you need any help setting up or some folding chairs.

Ive also a CA Blonde amp laying around if you need a
back up amp.

Hey Chris,

I can bring my Ryan but it may pale in comparison to whatever Kevin will be bringing to the show that weekend :)

Look forward to meeting all!

Enrico - I'm looking forward to meeting a bunch of new people at this party :)

As for what Kevin brings to the show, I can't wait to see them, or yours for that matter! I am of the considered opinion that one great beauty doesn't detract from the beauty of others. It's just different and vive la difference!

David - I sent you an email the other day asking if you need help with equipment or moving furniture. Chris and his Wheaties will take care of whatever you need on the furniture issue. :D

Chris - Don't be ragging on the iMIX, buddy.

Enrico - See you there. :)

Brandt - Well, I'll see you soon - I guess???

Wade, Mike, & Jim - Can't wait to meet you and hear you play(this part include you, David). It's guaranteed to be an awesome night.

Is it possible to videotape this event? I'll bring my gear and put it on DVD afterwards. If someone says no, then we don't do it and it's ok too. Not sure if y'all (the players and those hiding from the authorities!) would allow this so I just thought I'd ask. Anyway, let me know and I'd be more than happy to do it. I like being productive.

I've never been to an AGF event. Is it the "Smilely Happy People" type or the "I Got Friends in Low Places" type? Or somewhere inbetween?
:)

Not sure what you mean... but it's a pretty friendly bunch from all walks of life, depending on the event.

FlamencoStrums,

In my experience, it's more the "I have a really nice guitar" type people. I feel so out of place...at least mine's indestructible! :D

BTW, I re-read this post and realized that it could be interpreted as me saying AGF people are guitar snobs. That's not really the case, they're a bunch of really, really cool folks! And they're guitar snobs :D

So what's your point Chris?

P.S. - I really have a nice guitar.
P.P.S. - Ok, so it has an iMIX. There, I said it for you.

Bruce - see you there. You won't be disappointed. We're all nice guitar snobs.

oh ok so instead of name tags you wear tags that list the guitars you've owned, own and will own? amps too? ;)

Well, on at least one occasion Jim Tozier switched identities with Jennifer Meinel. :D :D :D

Hey, we like our guitars - at least it's not golf (about the only activity that's even more obsessive and even less interesting). However, if we had musical venues equal in land mass to the state of Rhode Island, maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing... ;)

It was the only way I could get "her" to play. :)

Sorry, Chris. I guess it's an inside joke.

Jennifer has a long-standing tradition of not playing guitar at any TGF/AGF gathering. And we all give her a mercilessly hard time about it.

At Monroestock III, Jennifer and I switched name tags, and then I immediately went up during the open mic and played a few songs while wearing her name tag.

That's all . . .

...and it's all relative...

JT - when you play on Friday, you're not going to wear a name tag are you? I think we'll know who you are - the one who uses the guitar strap backwards. Maybe I'll bring my SoundSeat just for you so you won't need a strap. :)
