Yes, we're building a human pyramid! Never mind, I'm afraid of heights anyway. I guess we'll just play some music :D

Once again, we're invading the alehouse for another round of AGF performance art. The Real Placebos, Guyute, 02B Nugent and his Wailin' Wife Michelle, David Moore, Eiko, Steve Busch and (hopefully?) Woody Boyd are all scheduled to perform.

Drop in and meet some of the cool people you've been talking to all this time!

Show starts at 7:00 and goes until 11-ish. Hope to see everyone there. Kids are welcome (and expected), food is available as are beverages of the malted and non-fermented varieties (in fact, kids' sodas are free IIRC).

Sounds like a good time with lots of great music! Wish I could be there . . .

We're planning on some kind of craziness when you're out here Jim :)

Hey Jim.
We wish you were out here to join us at the hee-haw. I just want to see what the Real Placebos look like! (I actually met 1/2 of the RP duo last weekend - Mr. Brandt) Nothing unusual from what I could tell. hehehe

It's going to be a fun evening! Jim, wish you could be here too. I've told a bunch of people and they just might show up, and these folks like to have fun. Should be good weather too!

Well last night was a blast. Thanks to Chris for setting up the PA and having Dave Matthews come by to handle our sound.

The Real Placebos are looking forward to the next get together...

It was a lot of fun and I didn't even need my plexiglass to protect me from the audience. Great crowd (granted half of them were players' family members and friends - paid and unpaid). Muchas gracias to Senor Chris for everything.

Nothing wrong with bringing your own fans, eh? I had a great time as always. I'm still trying to nail down a date for the next one, but I figure that there's probably no weekend that's good for EVERYONE, so I'll just take what they offer.

On a bummer note, the recording didn't pan out. I basically got the last part of the gig. When the power strip got shut off temporarily, it basically erased everything on that disc. And since I didn't notice it until later, I've basically got the last 90 minutes or so. So, there's 2 Real Placebos songs and the rest is all me. Too bad because I was hoping to catch more of George and Michelle and Ace. I've found that the recording of the instrumentalists really comes through well.

Anyway.....long post to basically say, "Yeah, that was fun! Let's do it again soon!"

LOL! Don't worry, it's never a great recording (so you're not really missing much), but I did catch all the pops, crackles, whizzes and zings when the Real Placebos played :D

BTW, I have to say, I'm amazed how good your guitar sounds on your CD. Absolutely brilliant! I'm on the second listen right now and will give you actual impressions after the 3rd or 4th sampling.

#1, 5, & 7 were on my nylon string Hirade E9. All others were on my Collings OM1A except for 4 and 6 which were on the Morris.

Thanks for the compliment. Pete did a great job capturing the sounds of those guitars.
