If any of you in the N Fla/S Ga area are looking for something to do on Saturday evening July 2nd (today) I'll be playing as part of the Saturday on the Suwanne concert series at the Spirit of the Suwanne music Park at Live Oak, Fl. Showtime is 7PM and I'm sure we'll play 2 sets. Come by and say howdy if you can. More info on the series is at http://sos.suncountryjamboree.com/

Wish I had known about this in advance. I would have seriously considered driving up for the evening, it's only a couple hours away. Would have made a nice holiday weekend trip.
But it's too late to change things. The wife is working today and tomorrow,
and she probably wouldn't like me going without her.
Thanks for the thought though. Some day I'll get up to the panhandle to hear you.
If I wasn't working I'd sure try to get down there. Hope it's a good show for you guys!

We're gonna have a ball, we always do when when get to play together (which isn't often enough). Ricks, I'm not actually in the pan handle, I live about mid-way between Jax and Gainesville. I do seem to play there more often than your direction though. I think the last time I was in Daytona I played at the Bandshell a few years back, I need to line something up down your way.

I have lived here so long that anything north of G-ville and west of Jax IS the Panhandle. LOL
One of your references in a previous thread led me to believe you were a little further out west. Not sure why though?
When you get the urge just come on down Daytona way. Probably not a whole lot going on this way musically worth your trip, but we could do something. Even if it's wrong.

I just see this thread. Too late to go. Live Oak is 1 hour south. By the time I get there, you probably are packing up. :(

Well we didn't have a capacity crowd, for sure, but we had a good time. I just got home. It stormed on me the whole way there, folks on I-10 driving 45 with hazards flashing, that may have been why we weren't playing to a full house. We still had a good crowd though. I'll be sure to give yall more notice the next time. Ricks, after I made this post earlier, I emailed my contact for the Bandshell. I got word back from him when I got home. Unfortunately they have already filled their schedule for this year, but we are discussing a date for next year. I'll let you know for sure as soon as we nail it down. The Bandshell is a pretty cool venue, I enjoyed it the last time I played there.

Let's just hope the Bandshell is still there next time you are down. There seems to be a group, mostly the greedy developers, that want that property and keep trying to get it torn down. They have spent a fortune trying to re-build that thing over the years, but so far she is still standing.
Brings back a lot of memories thinking about that place.
I've done a lot of weekend shows and jam sessions in the "shell", but that was way back in another life of mine.
