Hey everybody,

I'm currently booking for the fall -- i have a few dates left in september and i'm trying to fill october and november -- across the country and was curious if anyone here just comes alive when it comes to helping new artists promote shows. Here's a quick break down of where I'm heading -- mid august I'll be in Ohio (cincy, columbus, and cleveland mostly), first half of september i'll be in texas, second half oklahoma and missouri, october Indiana and southern ohio with boston at the end, and november hopefully going to be a lot of georgia and florida. I'm in florida playing the rest of the summer if anyone is interested in checking me out -- all the info for shows pretty much until early september is on the site, please e-mail me at booking@jonahsage.com if anyone is interested! IT would pretty much just entail me sending you some CDs and posters to hang up, maybe tell some of your friends about it and just try to get some people there. It might also be a cool chance for some AGFers to get together and play! Thanks for any help you guys can give!

Jonah,
Sounds like a very exciting tour.
Checked out your website, very informative.
Good luck and have fun on your tour. If you make it to Michigan let me know.

So how'd you go about getting all these gigs nationwide?
What sort of venues are they?
I've always wanted to do something like this but on a much smaller scale.

Chris,

Having things like the electronic press kit and the website help out a bunch, and then it's basically making phone calls and begging :D For every show I book I probably talk to 5 places and it's just a process, especially once you get into sending press kits out. I use the galaris musician's directory, which has also been a pretty invaluable tool, i think it's www.galaris.com, I got a free subscription when I had my CD duplicated with Oasis. If you have any cool spots in michigan to play I'd love to come, I used to live outside of Detroit so there's a special place in my heart for michigan (go blue). Thanks for your interest chris, let me know if i can help you out any more
