Willow Creek Arts Conference - Anyone going?

I'm heading out to the conference in chicago next month, i'll be attending the worship leader portion of it. just curious if anyone else is heading out?

When is it? I won't be going, of course (I'm of a different religious tradition); but perhaps we can get another AGF gathering together or take a secular-music breather during the down-time. I have a friend who lives nearby and sometimes sings at Willow Creek with her family band; I'll ask if she's going (depends on babysitting availability for the existing rugrat and how she feels going into her second trimester); also Dan Janzen lives a couple of towns over from Willow Creek.

Sandy - I think Dan Janzen is a speed-skater from Milwaukee, but Dale Janzen is in the area :D ! And so am I! Dale's church is walking distance from my house.

I'd be interested in another Chicago area get-together, as I've missed the first 2 due to scheduling conflicts. I have met Dale a couple of times, and had the pleasure of his company at one of our P/W practices a few weeks ago(Pre-T5).

And I met both you(Sandy) and Russ(Forensicguy) at a Doyle Dykes/Taylor function at Sam Ash last year.

Anyway, if anyone puts anything together, I hope to be able to attend.

Hey... Dan... Dale... works for me! Thanks for the nod and the kind words (although I know it's really the T5 you wanna see... ;) ).

I will check out the conference particulars. I'd also be interested in getting together with whoever is available at some point maybe around that time as well, assuming that my schedule works this time around.

My June's pretty full (just a reminder that I'll be playing Borders Algonquin on 6/18 from 8-10pm), but the Chicago Songwriters' Collective is having its annual song circle/picnic (actually a backyard BBQ) at the Bolingbrook home of my co-Pres. Ron Hayden on Sat. 6/25. It is open to prospective as well as existing members, so maybe a bunch of us can descend upon Ron's house that night with our guitars and our songs.

Let me know where you are and I'll tell you when and where else I'm playing near you. (Tonight Borders in Matteson, tom'w Two-Way Street in Downers Grove, Sun. aft. Cheney Mansion outdoors (indoors if rain) in Oak Park, Fri. Pickacup Cafe in Evanston. All start at 8pm exc. Sun,, which is 2:30).

Yep that's the one, there's two parts actually, I'll be going from the 14th-17th. Chris Tomlin is leading worship one of the days and teaching a workshop :)
