I have Bible Study Fellowship on Monday night, so will try to drag Shirley to see him at Anderson Fair on Saturday night.

I just saw him a few hours ago here in Lubbock. He played very good fingerstyle but I can't say that he just blew me away. Plus, he talked a whole lot more than he played. A few people in the audience made similar comments.
Aside from extremely basic DADGAD tuning pointers, he didn't "teach" anything. He talked a little about Taylor guitars - a 30th Ann short scale model that happened to be available at the venue and ES. Most of the info he covered were very basic and can be found on the Taylor website. I certainly did not learn anything that I did not already learn from this forum. The T5 was not mentioned at all. He used a K4 with him but he did not showcase this. I asked him about it later but all I got from him was that it was a great pre-amp.
This was my first clinic. I won't be too excited about a next one but then again maybe my expectations of "enlightenment" were just exceedingly high.
I'm interested in hearing other people's feedback from similar clinics.

I saw him in concert at Anderson Fair in Houston last night. Two sets of about ten songs each. As I mentioned earlier, I have another obligation Monday night.
Have to admit that it was nearly the first time in twenty years that I actually paid money to hear live music. I wasn't disappointed at all.
To respond to sage97's question, I have attended quite a few clinics over the years. Doyle Dykes (three times), Pat Kirtley, Beppe Gambetta (twice), Lawrence Juber (back when he was doing them), Chris Proctor, Mike Kenneally (with Brian Beller) and Chris Shaw. My expectations must be lower, because I've usually been happy to take one useful bit of information away from each one. I have been entertained by every one, inspired by several. I think the intent of the workshops is to showcase Taylor guitars, show us a bit of what's possible and an idea how to get there.
