Mismo and I got together today to, among other things, discuss a future group gathering. After my initial anxieties wore off, I found George to be a great player and a compassionate and gifted teacher.
I showed him a few of my James Taylor renditions and he patiently waded me through TAB of "Cavatina", the classical guitar theme featured in The Deer Hunter.
Thanks to George, I now have my work cut out for me, as I learn the basics of TAB while my ear races miles ahead causing frustration that's reminiscent of my first guitar lesson. It felt great!
When we arrange our group get together, hopefully before the summer season, all who attend will not be disappointed!! I'm glad again to have hooked up with George and the AGF while I have the time and drive to keep learning.
Regards;
Michael
