I have e-mailed several of the folks who were at the last Chicago get together already, and am posting this in case there is anyone I missed who would be interested in a get together.

Plans are made for the 19th of March, if anyone is interested let me know and I'll get directions and info to you.

You KNOW I'm gonna be there. My wife and daughter were coming, but now with work, it looks like it'll just be me...

It'll be good to see you again, Jim!

Take care,

Wade

Holland Michigan isn't so far from Chicago that I wouldn't consider attendinghttp://www.acousticguitarforum.com/ubb/smile.gif

Details would be appreciated.......

Keep me in the loop on this one. I did the first & missed the second.
Do you need a location?

In case any of you are wondering... 'should I, shouldn't I?' Yeah, go! I was at the last one at Don's place in Chicago, and it was great fun to meet and jam with a few of the folks I knew only by post previously.

Of course, my schedule won't permit me to be there on March 19... but if I could, I'd be there too! Summer or fall??

Have fun, all...

Summer or fall??

Too bad you will not be able to make it, but I'm sure that I can get the grill fired up for summer get together round 2 :)

I should definitely be able to make it for 3/19 at Jim's

Looking forward to seeing yall again!

I'd love to join you, but my youngest daughter's birthday is the 19th. Have a beer and a brat on me, then someone play "Lincoln Park Pirates"... ;)

Jim,

The only request I would have I'll bring myself. :)

I'll be driving in Saturday, most likely... I'll email you with the rest.

Looking forward to it!

Gary Gand of Gand Music and Sound is a neighbor and good friend of mine. So I hit him up to "Borrow" a couple of new Taylors for the get together.

He has a nice selection of everything from 300's to 900's.

He also has some of the short scale models as well.

Is there any particular model anyone would like to try?

I will be bringing all three of my Taylors to the event.

As of now, I'm planning on bringing my XXX-MC, and likely my Hamblin SJ - the other Hamblin will be staying at home... but it's always fun to try some guitars!

I stopped by Gand tonight and here is a list of what is hanging on the wall. If something gets sold then it will not be available on Saturday.

I think I will bring one of the short scale models.
I think the maximum Gary will let me bring is 3 so vote your choice.

I will be bringing three 800 series so that is covered.

I don't want to take responsibility for the 900's.

If it were up to me; I would bring one of the 500 series and the 614ce but what strikes your fancy? Post your choices and I'll do the shopping.

There are several in the bunch that have "deals" on them. I don't want to post that here but PM me and I will tell you.

I'd love to see a 714CE there - I'd like to do a Hamblin/Taylor comparison side by side... the 510 short scale would be cool, too...

I'm not in the market, but it would sure be fun!

Thanks for the offer!

I second the suggestion for a short scale dread, either 510 or 710. As for special food/drink requests, plenty of dead animal matter and veggies, please. I have some really good decaf and regular coffee I can bring (Metropolis Coffee Co. is three blocks away)--shall I pregrind it or do you & Alicia have a grinder?

Coffee!!! Mmmmmm!

One thing I have to request is food that can be enjoyed in small doses over long periods of time! :D

Looking forward to seeing you good folks!

Has a location and time been determined?

I may not be able to make it, but would be happy to host one this summer or fall.

Hey Guys (and Gals)

We will not be able to attend tomorrow, due to a scheduling
conflict. I am seriously bummed, as I have been looking forward
to meeting my AGF neighbors, after missing last summer's get together.

As close as Sandy & I are, we still haven't been able to meet.
Also I was really looking forward to meeting 2/3rd's of the new Wade! :)
Not to mention getting a chance to check out Wade's SJ. I almost ordered
a Hamblin around the time Jim Tozier ordered his.

Thanks again for the invite!! Hope to meet you all at the next one!!
Have fun, and Mike Dunn take some pics please!!!
