Greetings, everyone! As you know, TaylorStock has been a work in progress since the beginning, but now we have many of the details worked out and finalized.
One of the things that has changed since we began planning this event is that transportation will be the responsibility of the individual. It is not financially feasible for the forum to provide transportation to/from the event, for those who are staying at the hotel. The cost transportation was much higher than expected when broken out by the number of people who would need or would possibly use the transportation. (To put it in perspective, the registration fee for two people would cost more than renting a full-size car for four days, if we were to provide transportation.) Therefore, transportation will be the responsibility of each attendee. Detailed maps will be provided and there will be a bunch of us traveling, so don't worry about getting lost. The factory is only about 20 minutes from the hotel and I believe it's just down the highway.
However, many people have already offered to share their rides with others. If members of the forum would like to organize a car pool to/from the events, they are encouraged to do so. Some people hadn't planned on renting vehicles, and this change would be an added expense to their trip. I'd hate for lack of transportation to be the reason someone decides not to attend the event. Therefore, I would encourage members of the Taylor Forum family to share your rides and help eachother out. If you think you'll need a ride, please speak up so we can help you out. Thanks!
TaylorStock is gonna ROCK!
