View Full Version : AGF Jax Gathering Photos
Thanks to everyone who attended today's Jacksonville gathering. It was my great pleasure to meet each of you!
We had a great time getting to know each other and just hanging out jamming. These guys know some songs I'll tell you. :) There were some incredible guitars there, a couple of very special Martins, a stunning Goodall, an Avalon and a Santa Cruz, some very nice stuff indeed. :D
If I ever have to feed 5 men at one time, I hope it's these guys; they eat like birds. ;)
Here are some photos from the event (thanks to my daughter April for shooting these):

Great shots April, thanks for doing the photo duty.
I never knew my little Goody could move that fast? Must have been Unk.
Now, where are those "bribe" photos of Lisa we talked about?

Ditto. A cutie indeed! :D
It was really great meeting everyone. Lisa and Todd were the vocal stars at the gathering and I really enjoyed listening to them very much. There were some beautiful guitars indeed. Lisa had one guitar strung in Nashville tuning and I was very intrigued with the sound. I'm going to have to give that a shot. There were a few tunes played that I hope to be able to get the music for. Ricks played a piece that he wrote that I'd really like to learn. I may have to borrow a video camera some time and rent a little of his time and record that tune.
Lisa, thanks for all your work putting it together. The fellowship hall was a perfect place to meet. Next time I'll bring my appetite. By the time I discovered those delicious wraps you made I was trying to hold off for dinner afterwards. (I ate three of them anyway. Trying to ignore the peanut M&M's was a real challenge!)
Now I have to figure out why the pictures aren't showing up for me. (???)

Another round of thanks to Lisa for making our little get together happen.
We couldn't have done it with out you, that's for sure.
And you guys drooling over her pics, now you see why the Wonder Woman logo. I would think she really IS Wonder Woman in hiding, but Lisa sings better than WW does.
Thanks again.
Unk, I'm really flattered that you would want to learn one of my pieces.
Let me look around here, I may actually have a poor recording of that I did on the el-cheapo tape unit I have. It would be VERY rough, but I might still have it.
If Fitness is still out there somewhere, get in touch with me.
If not, I'll send you an e-mail when you get home.

Hey......nice pics April! It was fun meeting you all...
thanks again to Lisa for finding that nice room (great acoustics)
Sorry you had to sit next to me Ricks, (I think I bent over a couple of nerve cells in his inner ear with my singing!!) I couldn't put down that Goodall.....I'll be checking my email again tonight (Monday) from the library, so shoot me a note.....I have a feeling this could cost me some $$$
Lisa, too bad we don't live closer, I think we would have fun doing the "duo thing"....
Jon, thanks for dinner and your inspirational emails a few months back......next time maybe you can fit a round of golf in with me!!
John and Artie.....nice to meet you guys....hopefully we can do it again sometime.....
I'm delighted that everyone had a great time. It's great to get together with friends and play music.
...and, thanks for everyone for the kind comments, you really are very sweet. :)

Now that we have a location, a larger gathering can be planned. Let me catch my breath and we can set a date. :D

No way! Get to work on it missy! ;) I'm kidding...or am I? But I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully it will be at a time when I can come. Spring break would be a great time. hint...hint...anytime between March 11-21 would be best. :D Or you could do it when I'm heading down to Orlando to pick up my new puppy in May.
I'll just keep my fingers crossed that it's during a break in school so I can come. I can't wait!

Sorry I missed this one. I'm new on here and didn't see it coming.
Are there any AGF'ers just up the coast in Savannah?

Sent, and thanks again John. I've been trying to practise that one song you showed me, but I think I'm messing up the middle. :D
I sure appreciate the help.
