Howdy,
Jim Tozier will be playing at the And All That Jazz Cafe in Cocoa, FL on Tuesday, the 25th of January from 6:00 PM until 8:30 or so (with maybe some guest appearances from the local yokels).
The cafe is located at 1641 N. Cocoa Blvd. (US HWY 1) in Cocoa, FL 32922. Phone is (321) 636-3232.
Jim will be visiting the Tbondo clan at my home until showtime, and maybe we can have an afternoon get-together and even a post-performance jam session , if folks are interested.
Sounds like a great evening will be in store! Jim is a real treat to hear. Maybe I can get away and make the trek south.

Lisa,
That would be great. Let me know if you can make it and we'll work up a plan.....the intent is to dine at the cafe while Jim is entertaining....nice place to dine, great specials (I was there last night and had oxtail soup, pork loin roast entree [served with boiled red potatoes and fresh veges], and carrot cake for less than $20).....they have a beer and wine license too!

According to Mapquest, it looks like it's about a 2.5 hour trip. It would be great if you could make it, although I'd certainly understand if that would be too long to drive back and forth.

Tom,
Still waiting to see if my wife will be off but I am planning on heading down for this one. Can't pass up the famous Mr. T in person that close to home.
I assume the locals you mentioned are You and You!
Not sure where the place is on "1", but I'm sure I can find it.

Alrighty, all you Floridians . . . I'm heading out this morning and likely won't be able to access the forum until I get back home. I hope to see you all on the 25th! :)

I wish that I could Tom, but I will NOT have the day off.
So it will be the drive down after work for me. Lisa said today that she was thinking about coming, but not sure. I hope she decides to make it.
BTW, with Mr. T selling his Avalons, and the Hamblins not ready yet, what will he be playing? I heard a rumor it was Walnut. Maybe I should bring along my Walnut Goodall for him to test drive?

Jim is going to have his choice of several guitars, but will probably play the 714-CE-LTD since it has an (amplification) ES system.
Wish you could make it down earlier, but will be glad to see you at the cafe.....95 south to 528 east, south on US 1.....a couple of traffic lights, and it's in a strip mall on the RH (west) side.

I'd like to go but traffic is a little heavy that time of day for me. ;)
JT... Are you going to take the tour as far as So. Cal?
Last week Shoko and I did get to see Russ's (Koaguitarman's) band "One Foot In" play ........ that was a real treat. Great folk music with voices kinda like CSN
Tom, when might be your next trip out here? We are thinking about the next So. Cal gathering.....

"according to mapquest"....
that phrase has made me curse more times than not...

For all of you in central Florida that passed up on this, you missed out on a great time and some amazing playing. Thanks to Tom and Mr. Tozier for a great evening.
Glad you guys had fun! I wanted to be there but had a sudden case of that ancient Chinese disease, draggin butt, hit me and the thought the long drive there and back was too much. ;)
I love Jim's playing and I am sure you guys got a real treat. :)

That's OK Lisa, I understand. We know you would liked to have been there.
First time I got to hear Jim live and "close up". And this place was made for the intimate listening. (Plus the food was fantastic) I picked up a CD from Jim so I could listen some more on the way home.
BTW, you been telling stories about me?

Depends on what you mean.

I'm not sure either. ???
Tom said he heard about me. I asked who he had been talking to and he said "Lisa".
I hope they were all shameless lies to try and boost my ego.

Lisa, what Rick is referring to is my attempt to get him to play at last night's Tozier event and I told him that I heard he could play (when he said he couldn't) and asked who had said that and I said "Lisa", based on the quotes below from the JAX gathering report.
"had a great time getting to know each other and just hanging out jamming. These guys know some songs I'll tell you. There were some incredible guitars there, a couple of very special Martins, a stunning Goodall, an Avalon and a Santa Cruz, some very nice stuff indeed. "
"There were a few tunes played that I hope to be able to get the music for. Ricks played a piece that he wrote that I'd really like to learn. I may have to borrow a video camera some time and rent a little of his time and record that tune."
That is the rest of the story...Pics and Tozier report in the next box

Hey Tom,
I was just kidding with Lisa a bit. No need for anyone to explain anything.
And, I'll e-mail you the pics I took with my camera later tonight. I don't know how to do the post it thing, and that way you can decide which ones to put up for all to see.
Let me know what nights you and DD play at the cafe. I'll bring a geetar down and sit in with you one night.
