Thanks for posting the pic J.R.!

TGF Members-
For your consideration: My "Taylor" adaptation of the original Woodstock Music Festival logo. I've got different ones that I can come up with, but like I told J.R., when Steve314 put forth the idea of submitting designs, I immediately thought of this one.

Thanks for the look-see!

I think that as long as nobody tries to sue us, that may be a way to go.

You know, I'm kicking myself. I bring up the idea for designing t-shirts, and I haven't even had the common decency to work on a design...

Perhaps we should have a monkey standing on the fretboard instead. ;)

I think that design is great. I highly doubt that anyone would sue. Perhaps if it was mass produced and the profits were large. I think the only concern would be Taylor. If they don't mind we should be fine.

My only concern is that JR mentioned two color printing on the shirts and that would be a three color design... Otherwise, go for it!!!

I think we should incorporate a monkey butt somehow...it would just make sense.

I mean, seeing as the monkey butt was the reason BobT jumped in on us here in the first place, and if it wasnt for that, we wouldnt have a Taylorstock :)

This works for me, though the blue is a bit bright. Is the background color part of the design (that is, a large square printed on the shirt) or is the background just representing the shirt's natural color? I think the design and lettering directly on a shirt would be better.

Hehe! I don't think I want to wear a shirt with a monkey butt on it. It's bad enough I have to think about it everytime I open my guitar case!

With all the bus/ride thing to the factory, maybe this would be the best graphic.

And the caption that says:
Will Play Music For A Ride To Taylorstock!

Lame? Yeah.....

Thanks for the comments on the design.

I have to admit, I like the idea for the monkey butt thing. You guys make a great point for its inclusion. The only drawback is that with too many things different from the original Woodstock design, you start to lose the significance of the original intent.

The original colors were that blue and a GREEN headstock. I went with black to make it more subdued. The look was originally kind of "cartoony" so I wanted to keep that kind of feel(although I got a little perfectionistic on the headstock).

I was telling J.R. that since the design is four color(the light tan is just a representation of the "natural" color of the shirt), the shirts might cost us about $1.20-$1.70 more than before to have made.

I've got a couple more ideas I'm going to finish up and send them J.R.'s way. They'll be a more of a departure from this current design. We'll see.............

You could do something as simple as putting monkey butt cheeks on the bird :D and I think if alot of things got changed, the font is still a tribute to the original woodstock. It was 11 years before I was born and I recognize it :)

FWIW, I can do without the monkey butt. I appreciate the humor, but I like the design as it is.

A monkey butt is not a strong selling point for me.
