Let's not forget The Fab Four, The Pre-Fab Four, Simon & Garfunkel, Cat Stevens (never mind his new life), The Band, The Eagles, and many others. We had great music back in the Dark Ages.
Ryan: "Bob Denver" -- LOL!

Yeah, we had some great music. But they're all either dead or old now.
Ryan: Bob Denver? Wrong...the answer is blowin' the wind.
Yes, I forgot to mention S & G...how could I? What's weird is that my teenage boys love Simon & Garfunkel.

I got the CCR, JT, and CSNY... what are the other two?

Peter, Paul, & Mary--Bob Dylan. All the above mentioned probably had a big influence on those of us who started playing acoustic guitar in the late 60s. CCR was not acoustic, but they had that downhome bayou sound. Actually, I do recall an album cover that had John Fogerty holding an acoustic.
I also recall some good acoustic work from a duet called Levitt & McClure around 1971. Anyone ever heard of them?

My Wife and I are both 45, but she sure looks better than me at 45.
We will both be attending the festivities. Connie does not play guitar but loves guitar music and is a real music lover in general, and has encouraged me through the years. She has never said a word when I made several very expensive guitar purchases one after another.
I believe myself to be one the luckiest men on earth.

51 1/2......just so Meridian will feel like a youngster.....my wife believes I'm in my second childhood, at least where Taylors are concerned! I can't say she's been quiet about my recent purchases, but she does still talk to me on occasion. My daughter (17)is very supportive, though convinced her father is insane. We will all be there, having a good time.
Sounds like Taylormeister and I should work up a setlist.....that's a my music! Throw in Jackson Browne and Little Feat, and I'm there. Well, also some Who, Bowie, Lou Reed (Velvet Underground), ah....rambling here.

Looks like there will be a few old poops like me (48) there, so I won't feel so bad. My 19 year old son (Anj) will be with me. No doubt most will confuse us as brothers since I look so young.

Myself, 45, and Jeff, 46.
Though some days I'm pushing 16 and other days 60. I'll share my Geritol if needed.
Thursday will be a long day since we're flying through several time warps. Even though our plane lands at 8:00 PST, to us, in 'our' time (EST) it will be 11:00 PM.
Later....

I'm 33 and my friend who will be attending with me is 34 or 35 (can't remember - will have to ask him). My wife is 30 but she's not going...
Looks like I'm the old dog at 53! I hope this makes some of you "older" people feel better. Can I still come?
Dylan, Denver (John not Bob), and PP&M have been huge influences on my music and style also. Can't wait to play with you old guys. Maybe we can teach the youngsters a few tricks. Maybe they can teach the old dogs a few tricks!
See you all soon!

I'm just so tickled that I'm not going to be the oldest around for once at 49. Man, at work I've got socks older than some of those kids that work for me :-)
See y'all Friday am. Or later Thurs night.
