This is more of a curiosity item ..... I started a new thread so as not to bog down the main thread any further ..... and this one should only last about a week, eh?

How about a 'Roll Call' here of any TaylorStock guitars that will appear here at MonroeStock next week .... ???

I'll start it off with my two:

TaylorStock 812-C Ziricote / Cedar

TaylorStock 814-C Cocobolo / Cedar

Thanks ...

Rick

Tom, I'd like to see that and the XXX-BE you got. I'm curious about redwood in general, and I'd also like to see Lisa's 414... but I REALLY want to see her Custom 512! Eh, Lisa?

None of mine are TaylorStocks... I joined the Forum a little late to get in on that, dang it... but I'm also interested in what people will be bringing in the first place.

Peace,

Wade

What?! You aren't coming, Tim? I am very sorry to hear that! You can't change your plans?

Wade...I am seriously considering bringing both the 414 and the 512. It depends on what fits and if I feel like I can manage to keep up with 2 guitars.

Well, I brought two last year and am bringing two this year (my Hamblin SJ and the Blue Mongo) and everyone is pretty much hands off unless you offer to let them play them. Marion Holloway generally has enought store guitars displayed for people to just pick up and try. I had no trouble at all.

Have a safe trip!

All the best,

Wade

Lisa...you better bring that 512! I'm dying to see it. I don't know what I'll be able to bring with me this time. I am not driving my truck down there this year. I'm taking a Mustang instead. That doesn't leave me much room for guitar cases.

If I can get four guitars and a suitcase in my Toyota Echo... (although I'm only bringing two)... surely a Mustang can fit at least two of those puppies!

You can always use the passenger seat... just be sure to buckle it up!

:D :D :D :D

I have the old gallery stuff saved to disc. Maybe one of these days I'll get motivated and start posting them all to a Taylorstock section. :)

( Yeeehiiii. Sorry Lisa, we're in a .... "can you, will you, would you, can I, may I " .... phase with two offspring that pounce right back at me ....

Now, seriously, here's a basic summary from my end until I've made up the table for the web page with names along with the distance traveled.

AGF Members and Guests: 26

Local Enthusiasts that I'm sure won't miss it: 6

(I've answered a good many emails, local and otherwise. Just can't count those yet .... and neither can I count other locals that have been quite regular but rarely 'register' till they arrive ..... one of which is an active AGF member that I won't pressure by naming him individually.) dink dink dink dink dink dink dink dink dink dink dink dink dink dink ......

I've not asked Marion for a headcount from the store's end of things .....I've personally heard them promoting it quite aggressively to walk-in customers as well as over the phone.

After I touch bases with a few folks this evening, I may be adding another 2, 4 or 6 bodies.

Comparison to last year this time? Curious myself ....

I'll check back in shortly.

Later ...
Rick

Would I? Yes, please...pretty, pretty please. :)

This may be a pointless post, but I sure wish I was coming this year. I would love to meet Lisa, and see all the rest of you again. :(

(I even have Friday off work - both jobs! - as well as the weekend. I am kicking myself here.)

TaylorStock owners ....

I'd like to officially request that you bring your TaylorStock guitar for a small display of them at the workshop. They will be displayed together as a group, with signage indicating individual ownership, not for sale or handling ... etc .

I'll post the same in the main thread shortly ....

Gotta run for now ....
Thanks ...
Rick
