This is a last minute inviation to those of you that are in the area but haven't yet responded to the call :D
We are gathering this Sat. and you are welcome to join us.
It doesn't matter if you are a new member or long time member. The level of ability also does not matter, I hope to learn something new and make new friends.
If you haven't responded yet and think you want to join in... email me and I will send directions to you. (just make sure AGF is in the title or it might end up in the trash)

Dennis, Shoko, Ron, Ryan, Russ, et al:
We're not gonna make it ...dut da do da do do
We're not gonna make it ...dut da do da do do......(Shades of the Who, Tommy LP)
Between Jeanne's uncertain track and Ivan running into Houston as we were scheduled to travel thru that airport, we give up. I wanted to make it in the worst way, and this is torquing me substantially...but, what ya going to do?
Just pulled the plug on air, car and hotel.
Have a great time, wish we were there.

Me too, guys. Not gonna make it, that is. I just accepted another job this week, in addition to my teaching, and am buried right now. I'll miss seeing (and playing with) you all, but have a really great time and somebody else better make sure to bring that salsa! ;)

Please don't give up on me, guys. Next year, I am going to this (if you hold one again) AND the NC event. Dennis, thank you (and your wife) so much for your offered hospitality. I know that it will be enjoyed and appreciated by all who come. I hope to meet you both soon at the very next event. :)

Rebecca,
I'm really sorry that you can't make it. :(
I was really looking forward to meeting you and playing a few worship tunes.
I guess I'll have to eat all the California rolls myself. :)
Shoko also decided to set up her new massage chair and will give a free massage to a few lucky winners. I bet you could use that! Let's see now what else can I entice you with that will get you to change your mind?
Hmmm, I can buy some fresh sashimi and serve it to you straight out of the kitchen so no one will know..... MMMmmmmMMmmMmmm Good!
I really will miss you but I do understand.
Be blessed!
Dennis
Tom ........ :(
Let me know when you are coming out in Oct. I hope we can have a jam then. Take care of the things that you need to and when you are here again we will tell you all that you missed.
Blessing to you and your family also.

Thank you for the blessing....it is always wonderful to be blessed.....we continue to watch the track of Jeanne, and we'll see how it goes. I am sure you will have a wonderful time...please tell everyone that we would rather be there.
Ryan...got it dude! You have a great time, and play some DMB for the folks.

Have a great time you all. I live in the L.A. area but am a total-total newbie and am too embarassed to "come out" just yet  I also dropped off my new 310 at a luthier yesterday for a set-up and won't get it back until Tuesday. Perhaps I'll meet you all next time. Have fun! :)

Hey Livinright,
Don't let not having a guitar stop you. There will be plenty of extras to play. You should come and have fun and food. You are not required to pick if you don't want to.
I'm bringing a bunch of guitars.............................

Livinright .... join us it's a fellowship and Jam... Ya don't have to do both but it is a great time to see others play and ask questions. I'm a three chord groove guy... that way I can't go too wrong. We can jam together :)
(I'm emailing directions to you just in case)
Ken,
I can't even guess a count other than the list is on post one of the food thread. I'm not sure who will show or not show but I know my family is starting to call wanting to come by along with a few musicians from church so it will be a little more than a few. :D
Like I said before bring what ya got and if it ain't enough, Vons is down the street. We will make sure everyone eats and enjoys.
Chris,
We will be here from morning to night. I targeted noon for the official start time. I'm looking forward to the variety of instruments and music. (Russ thanks for covering, your help and support is awesome! You really deserve another koa guitar! ;) )
To Everyone,
If you bring some music, I think chord sheets work the best. It is easiest for others to join you. My copier works when it wants so let's hope it is working tomorrow.

Ken, it sounds like you have spent some time here in the LA area.
The good thing is if you get hung up at LAX your only 5 miles from the house :)
Actually, it is the drive over the hill from or into the valley that drives me nuts.
see ya in the morning! (or afternoon)
