I'm willing to host the next one at my house if we decide to do it in the San Antonio/Austin area.

I live in Canyon Lake, about 40 miles North of San Antonio and about 60 miles South of Austin.

I figured if we do it in the early fall, it would be cool enough for us to sit outside if we wanted to and enjoy the lake, garden, view and not sweat to death. :)

I have plenty of room for parking, I could probably fit a dozen cars or so in my driveway.

But, whatever everyone agrees on for the next one, I'm just offering. :)

I'll post a few pics of some of the house shortly; the only pics I have are right before we moved in (ie: no furniture). Rest assued though, it is furnished. :)

all i want to know is can we get the same waitress?

ps: to the wives and families of those who attended the north tx gathering, ignore my previous comments re the waitress' outfits-- they were only in my head. [g]

You know I'm down for one at your house...not cause of your wife...but because it'd be a lot of fun. Let me know how things progress, I'll come down and help get anything in order...and we can jam!

I will wear the outfit if that helps!

If needed we can do the carpool thing! If you want to come don't skip it because of the travel, we can work that out!

I'm in!

I put some more thought into it and here's what I came up with:

If it all goes down, since no one will have to put in for a place to do it, we could all just chip in for food.

I figured I'd go hit up Rudy's BBQ and just get a catered deal: ribs, chicken, brisket, turkey, potato salad, cole slaw and some drinks. Everyone chip in like $10 or so and we'd be set. :)

Thoughts?

I'll stop by Pugsley's today and see if I can get our friend in the skirt to serve us!

She did say the best day to see her is on Thursdays!!! (that is an inside joke that would reference what she wears, or doesn't wear under her skirt on Thursdays!)

Sounds good Jeffrey!

Sounds like we should try to do an open mic there on Thursday HAHAHAHA

Hahah.

Personally, I think her skirt was entirely too long and needed to be far shorter.

In good taste, of course. :)

Allright, let me get this out of the way right now....

If ANY guy wears that outfit...I don't care how many guitars are there or how many cool stuff shows up...I AIN'T COMING!! LOL

I think Jeffrey has the best legs! Allthough JR would do it justice as well!

All I had to do was MENTION Canyon Lake to Shirley and she said, "When? Let's go!" She thinks we oughta retire to that area.

A house at the lake is likely to be more wife-friendly than a sports bar, too.

I also agree with a1rh0pper's last post. No guys dressing like waitresses.

Here's some pics of the new house, one or two are before we bought it (when we had our first showing), so it's got some other people's furniture in it. The one's with no furniture were the day we took posession; an exciting day! :)

Jeffrey,

You have my doors in your house. I'm sure those came from our company since we distribute the "Texas Star" doors (and 1000's of other items) to all the lumber yards and building centers!

Nice Pad!

Actually, the seller is a custom home builder. He had the doors made for him to my knowledge (it's what he told me). They aren't availabe in Home Depot, Lowe's etc, but possibly through other channels I guess. Though he led us to believe he had these made for him.

Up until a few months ago the glass insert was not available through Lowe's or Home Depot. The doors are known as the "Texas Hill Country Collection". It looks like the glass is from a division of Masonite, Specialty Glass. We are one of only 2 North American full line distributors of Masonite Door Products.

Yes I'm sure the doors were "made" to you or your builders specs.

Go to this link on our website, http://www.dwdistribution.com/dwmillworkbook.pdf, page 39 will show last year's version of the "Texas Star" glass. The glass insert can be put in various doors. It is hard for me to tell in the picture if your doors are the fiberglass or wood (mahogany, oak, cherry, etc.).

Some of these doors can be very expensive but they are beautiful! We typically build these doors to the specs of the builders. There are some other door shops that will also build to custom specs.

Did you do the Knotty Pine interior doors?

They are gorgeous!

jeffrey

The doors are Red Oak to match our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. :)

The inside doors are all straight pine (so is all the door trim/moulding/window sills) (no knots) and the cielings/walls are knotty spruce. :D

I couldn't find our door in the guide you sent me. Ours look a good bit more ornate than the ones you thought it was. :)

Here's a close-up of one of the doors:

Yep, that is one of the newest style glass inserts, not sure if it is a "Specialty Glass Model, it could be made by ODL, or even a small glass shop in the "Hill Country". That is a beautiful door, you are correct that version won't be available at Lowe's or Home Depot. The price of that configuration prevents most folks from choosing it. Make sure you follow the recommendations of the painter/stainer. Those doors are not maintenance free! You may have to add another coat of finish on it in a year or two, especially if you have a west facing.

Red Oak is not real common, most high end doors are in Mahogany.

I'm sure those doors were very pricey, they are amazing!

The "vertical grain" interior pine doors are beautiful.

Yeah, they gave us instructions for door care. :)

The doors themselves have marine varnish on them, the house is done with Cabot's.

The date is still really open.

I just figured late Oct/early Nov so we could spend time outside too and not sweat to death. Ya know, sit outside, enjoy the view, that kinda thing. :)

Jeffrey,

I did find out the custom door is from MAI, we do distribute these as well, the glass is SC239 (St. Charles Collection) from MAI.
