Hey, isn't it about time someone starts planning a SoCal get-together? Killer and I did the last one, and that was a few months ago...

I would LOVE to plan one...unfortunately, my apartment isnt big enough for 3 of us to get together, let alone 30 :)

How about the beach? Maybe a late afternoon picnic/barbeque, or something?

We land-locked members are soooo very jealous! Sounds like a very nice time.

Think we could get enough people to bring their Tay Tays out to the beach ;)

Sure, that's why I suggested late afternoon. Less sun, heat, etc. There are some nice beach areas with tables, grills, etc., that we could use. It might not be the best place to bring several guitars to display on stands, but just one each to play should be okay. And fun too.

I don't ordinarily do beaches. My guitars ain't crazy about 'em, either...

How about Temecula?

Obviously, its up to whomever chooses to host, but my guess is that the LA contingent will push for an LA location since the last was in La Jolla....but thats just speculation :)

Well... looks like we've got one vote for Temecula, and one for L.A.

This is good.

I can agree with Ryan on his point. The last one was down here in San Diego, so it wouldn't be the end of the world if we folks from the San Diego area had to drive north...

Your place is too small! There is no room for us there!

hehehhe - talk about a great room for a gathering!

SteveS has offered a couple of times now. I say we take him up on his generous offer of hospitality. I don't mind the drive.

I bet you even like the Padres!Ya know, I identify more with San Diego than LA. I've lived in and around San Diego for about 30 years. I've lived around LA about 10 years. So I am a Laker fan, a Padre fan, and a Cahrger fan.

Yep, just over 45 minutes away from downtown without any traffic.

Oh! That's a good one! No traffic, HA! OK, maybe at 4:00AM on a Monday morning. San Diego's become LA'ed.

Angle fan? I was a year or so ago.

So Steve, was it the obtuse angles or the acute angles that turned you off from being a fan of angles? Did you misplace your protractor, thereby making it impossible to precisely measure them, and you just settled into other interests?

You know, I'm a big fan of arcs, myself...

:D :D :D

I don't know....

I think once you go past la migra you're passing the border out of San Diego.

But on the get-together thing....Steve's making the offer, why not take him up on it!

I was wondering if any firm decision has been made yet for a SoCal gathering.

So far as I can tell, there's been no discussion on it since the last time you posted :) .

In the meantime.... Guilty Pleasure!

On Friday July 23 I will be playing at Cafe Elysa in Carlsbad, from 7:30-10:00. Outdoor cafe, firepits, great pastries and jammin music, just a short walk up from the beach after watching the sunset....

And as a special bonus!!!...
Steve and Kevin from the ZenDogs will be joining me for the last set. Soaring harmonies, guitar interplay...what else could you want to do on a Friday evening?

We're going by the name "Guilty Pleasure"...it somehow seemed appropriate :)

Yeah, I'm looking forward to that!

For those of you with kids, this is a coffee house, so I don't believe there's an age issue...
