hey cocoguy, I spoke with Rick last week and he indicated that Holloway's Music is deeply involved with Monroestock and he must arrange it with them. However he said if all goes well Monroestock will happen this fall. His words to me. Be patient. mw

We'll (Vicki and I) will be there if schedule permits.....Monroestock is the next best thing to Taylorstock (and a gazillion times more likely to occur). Don't miss it if at all possible.....
PS Celebrated my 1600th post by acquiring a XXX-BE (cutaway).....wow!

Me too. I would make the effort to join you all again, if possible. I loved NC, and the wonderful friends there.
Wade, I don't think you need a Taylor to attend. Anyway, I heard from a little bird something about a Blue One..............;)

Yeah, with my name on the label this time, and my favorite inlay! :D
Can you believe I went with blue? I figured I'd go with it though, I need at least one guitar that goes against my personal norm, and I've loved the pictures I've seen, much like I love the cherry/blackburst pics on your site. I wish Taylor showed a little reflection on their guitars... their site shows none of the depth of the finish at ALL.
Anyway, I hope we both can make it. I have a certain coco/cedar I'd love to hear you try... and see what you think.
However, it looks as though I may be unable, depending on when my surgery is. I'm hoping soon enough that October is still a possibility... assuming October would work.
You know I would be in for this one. Great event and even better people. I thought the last one was the best yet. Got to meet one of my heros, Capt Bill. Go Rick! JW

Hey Gang ....
No one around here would drop any heavy hints or otherwise twist an ARM ..... or, would they?
OK .... here's the scoop .... it simply takes a team effort for the 'MonroeStock' event. (Can't shake that nickname ?? .... just *WHO* came up with that anyway ... ) I'm just the 'organizer' .... it just would not be successful without Marion Holloway, his family and the entire enthusiastic staff here at Holloway's Music.
I haven't discussed any details with Marion about a workshop this year, though it was basically mutually agreed after the *overwhelming* turnout last year that 'it would be' again ....
So .... if the Holloway crew is game .... we'll do it. How's that??
I'll start a new thread titled 'MonroeStock IV' to test the waters for initial interest ....
(Been scarce here recently ... 'irons in fire', ISP woes, yada, yada ... )
Later ...
Rick
