John Denver Tribute Concert - Road Trip to Aspen?

Hey Guys and Gals,

Each year a group called Music Unites (http://www.musicunites.com/pages/indexpg1.htm) does a tribute concert for charity in honor of John Denver. Last year or the year before Vince Gill and Amy Grant played. I've checked with Music Unites and they don't have all the details yet.

Pete Huttlinger, who played for John, is usually very involved with the show. He will sometimes do a small clinic during the weekend. I have traded emails with Pete and he is pretty sure he will be doing a clinic again this year.

I will be going and wanted to see who would be interested in a Road Trip or a Get Together in Aspen. I have found some Hotel/Motel arrangements pretty cheap, around $50-$60 per night. I'm sure they will hold at least 2 people.

Anyone interested in making a trip of it or at least meeting in Aspen for a get together?

I plan on seeing the sites, I know there are lots of things to see that us JD fans would appreciate.

This is very tempting. I saw JD in concert back around 1977. What a great time that was. I'll have to look at my schedule to see if this trip would be possible.

I'll be there for the whole week. A bunch of us go every year and play anywhere someone will let us. Maybe we can hook up.

I live just over an hour from Aspen ... might have to check that out. That time of the year is beautiful out here! I'll be watching to see what happens.

Tickets went on sale last Thursday, I'm gonna check and see what is still available this week.

Sunday night is when Peter of Peter Paul and Mary will be there. If I'm going up I'll probably go up Thursday or Friday and stay until Sunday or Monday. Any interest is sharing a room?

I bought 2 tickets today for the show on Oct 9 (Saturday); i plan on flying in to denver thurs night, then heading to Ft. Collins to visit relatives on Friday; off to Aspen early Saturday am. fly home on Sunday night. not coming alone, so room sharing probably isn't gonna work, but thanks though.

1) I sent you an email a little while ago and it appears the package is not going to be ready in time for your event.
2) I would be very interested in a clinic with Pete. I have a few of his DVDs and I've found them very useful; not that I can play that well, but I'd love to attend a clinic.
