OK guys,

I checked with the Homeowners today. Here are the fee's, they should not be a big deal.

1. $250.00 deposit (as long as we don't tear anything up I get this back, I'll fund this).

2. $25 for the first hour and $5.00 for each our after that. 10 hours $70 bucks. No big deal we split it up.

3. Let's talk dates, as of today any Saturday starting on July 17th is open. I can't do the 31st so we know that one is out.

Let's see if we can pick from one of these 3 dates. I'll try and be as flexible as possible. I think the best way to be flexible is starting with those who have attended the most, that leaves Jeffrey and Phuufme).

I'd like to shoot for July 24th.

Here are some options, July 17th or August 14th.

I will need to confirm this next Monday, May 31st, so we can reserve our spot!

I will also put together a schedule of events. Some ideas would be great. I will also make sure we are set up with PA, drums, keyboard and such.

I'd like to see an official "Open Mic" with each person/due/group do some of their favorite tunes. I will also see if I can get some participation from a local dealer!

I have invited my new buddies over at the Martin Forum as well!

hey Chris, its phuufme. I will check my calendar (and more importantly, my wife's calendar) to see when she is travelling or not. I'll get back to you soon. Thanks for doing it again.

I'm sure you can "catch a wave" with someone from Houston?

August 14th works best for me. I'm out of town from July 7 through the first week of August, so if it was in July I wouldn't be able to come.

On July 25th I have a meeting at Lake Texoma, so this would split the drive up for me to two days.

Lake Texoma is only 30 to 45 minutes from me. It looks like the 24th might be best if it will save you a trip.

Sorry Oz!

Aug 14 would be my preference. I can't do any of the other dates.

Sorry Oz!

Not a problem. Don't sweat it!! (That's awfully hard to do here in Texas, though...) :) I'll be in Virginia visiting my family on the 24th, and I'd much rather be there anyway.

If phuufme doesn't mind coming back for another trip, I'll look at the 14th. I'd like to get a few more "forumites" to chime in before I confirm a date!

What about August 14th? Will that work for you?August 14th is not as good or convenient as July 24th, but at this point in my schedule, I can make that date. Any weekend after that through the first weekend in October, however, is taken (yes, we have a busy fall this year).

I don't want to go any later than the 14th because of school starting for a bunch of people. I'm with you on the 24th of July. I like that one better. Let's wait till first part of next week and see what other responses we have.

I have not heard from

A1hopper - Wade or several other NT Folks!

If I can make it at all any of the dates listed is ok for me. Depends on if my wife wants to travel or not.

OT: Taygull what brand/model gig bag did you have for your seagull? I'm looking for a bag to use with my new 310 that I can carry on a plane.

Congrats on your new Martin!

Give me a call (Taygull), I'm sure I can make it, just have to notify my carpooler...

Your "carpooler" I'm like...30 minutes from you?

Did you get my message about Friday night?

I think a poll on dates is a great idea. Give us 4 dates or so that we can choose. I really hope I can make it to this, though as I said in a prior post, don't reschedule it on my behalf. I'm out of the country July 14-31 and can't change that. Anything else is do-able for me.

Anyway, I like the poll idea.

Dennis here is the only problem with a poll.

We have done 3 of these events. Each time we do one we get 15-20 people who say they are coming. We understand "stuff" happens. So far myself, Jeffrey, and Steve are the 3 that have attended each one. No big deal. I know I can count on a several others who, if they say they are coming, then they are coming.

If I do a poll we may bet 25 people voting, as well, there is nothing to stop someone who has no intention of coming from voting. My fear would be a large group of people vote, they pick a date that is good for them, they don't show, and then some of the regulars don't show because the date was no good.

Did I confuse anyone? :D

For now what I would like to do is leave the discussion open as the venue does not seem to be getting booked up.

I learned along time ago "try and please everyone, please know one!" :D

Message here or on my cell phone? I didn't get a message on my phone. I carpool with a guy to work everyday since we both live in Sherman and both work at the same office in Dallas....

I just have to tell him he's on his own Friday so I don't drive all the way back to Sherman, then back to McKinney...HEHE.

Did you want to get together with us the Friday evening? I'm confused?

Require a deposit to vote. That'll separate the men from the boys, the wheat from the chaff, choose the cliche that appeals most to you. ;)

(Spoken as a person who said he might attend a prior event and didn't.)

I don't have a problem making a commitment to it.

Unless of course my leg falls off or something. :)
