So Cal AGFers - Hurkey Creek June 11-13

I'll be camping at Hurkey Creek. If you want to join me, and I hope you do, you can camp or just come up for Saturday. Campsites are filling up so you need to make reservations soon. Get a site near #85. I have 3 other guitar players already camping with me that weekend, so we have a good start.

For those that don't know, Hurkey Creek is located between Hemet and Palm Springs, near Lake Hemet on Highway 74. It is about 4,400 feet up in the mountains. It is easy to get to. Weather should be wonderful. The campsite offers 100 campsites, with restroom and shower facilities and can accommodate large RV's. Any questions?


Reservations: To reserve campsites call the toll-free reservation hotline (800) 444-PARK, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Pacific Time, seven days a week.

Unfortunately, I'm going to have to bow out of this one, as my daughter graduates high school on June 10th, and I'm going to have a houseful that weekend.

Huh... on second thought, maybe I SHOULD go camping...

Rascal! That's a busy weekend for me. Gig friday night, lead worship sunday morning...

Every weekend was bad. This was the only one I could make.

Did I mention brown bears? You take crescent rolls, wrap them on a stick, **** them over an open fire, dip them in butter, sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar over it and eat. Oh man are they good. Better than smores.

Well, my gig got cancelled, but now I've got something else on saturday...

What a great weekend for camping, playing guitar and mountain biking.
Two guitar players showed up and we played Saturday night. I got to ride the 24 hours of adrelalin race course. That is a great ride. 10 miles with 3 good climbs, big descents, and lots of singletrack. Here is a good description of the ride.
