Well, I thought I would start the next thread.

Any thoughts on the next get together, I liked the Lake Houston but it would not be good until October due to the heat.

Anyone up for Dallas (we could do Pugsley's again), early summer?

To date, we've done one in Austin, Houston and Dallas.

Doesn't really matter to me where it is as long as it's a good locale for people to actually show up. ;)

My bad...how 'bout San Antonio....Jeffrey's probably got the skinny on some places ... or San Marcus...that'd be kinda cool. Just my opinion.

Wade,

We just did one in San Antonio, my thoughts were Pugsleys would be good to do early summer, it is nice and cool and the rates were not bad.

I will work on a sample "Agenda". Let's start the debate, so far Jeffrey, Steve and myself have been to all of them, so I would assume we would go anywhere.

Gw2405 thinks there might be a good spot at Lake Whitney, that is between Dallas and Austin. Kinda in the middle.

I'm down with just about anywhere.

We could always do a camping trip to Big Bend. :) But that's gotta be more than one day haha :)

All I need is advanced warning of when it is and I'll work my schedule around it. ;)

I mentioned this on the San Antonio follow-up thread, but I'd be glad to check with my apartment managers to see about using our clubhouse. In the courtyard just outside the clubhouse we have two pools (one water volleyball), a sand volleyball court, grills, etc. The clubhouse itself has a few couches and chairs and a little kitchenette area. We could buy food once people get there (those who show up just chip in) or we could go to a number of restaurants closeby dutch treat. I live in southwest Fort Worth. Let me know if there is any interest, if not I won't pursue it any further.

I'll definitely do everything possible to be anywhere we decide.

Last one I just had a wedding to go to on the exact same day as the get together....

Anyway...I'm cool with Dallas, Austin, Big Bend...or South Padre...or anywhere in between...LOL.

You know, South Padre early summer does sound good. My wife want's to take the girls.

Anybody got any connections with a spot to Jam down there?

Well, I inquired at the office and they said they don't make the room available because there's nothing separating it from the office portion. The courtyard area with the pools, volleyball, and grill would still be an option but I doubt we'd want to be somewhere outside the whole time, especially in the summer.

going to collect $$ before the event on this one??So far it doesn't sound like we have an event. However, collection in advance does sound like a great idea to me.

Hey, how did the pics from III turn out?Um, er, um, er .... I still haven't completed the roll (yes its the outdated 35mm kind). I should just give it up and get it developed; I will do so this week. Sorry.

Just thought I'd say Hi.

I was feeling pretty bad about the time of the last get togather. I've been into to the VA Hospital 3 times now since then. I came home Monday to a network server down due to a power surge and the DSL inop. Luckily I was able to reinstall XP without losing any data. Hope I'll be able to make it to the next Get Togather!

Hey Guitarman

Hope you're out of the hospital for good!Yes, hope you are out of the hospital enough to play one of your guitars for a while. We missed you at the San Antonio "T"GF TX III. See you at the next one.

Hey, Hondo, is there a place to host one in your hometown (Brenham, right?). Besides the easy access to the best ice cream around, maybe that will get to to attend one of these. :D :D

Steve

There are some places - covered pavilions at various parks, meeting rooms, etc. Brenham is not as accessible as the larger areas. If there's interest in doing one here, I can check around.
