As far as I know I can.
Sorry I haven't been around. My life has been rather busy the past few days.
I'm definitely interested and will be willing to ask my apartment manager for use of the community room here again. May 8 is my 49th birthday and I can't think of a better way to spend it than jamming with other acoustic guitar folks for the afternoon and evening.
We had a great time on the 3rd and would love to have any Arizonans or Californians who can make it present for AZ Gathering II. As Stenevo said, post here if you're interested and we'll be in touch.

May 8th is two days after my 53rd birthday...although I'm painfully introverted, I'm willing to give this a try, as I'd like to expand my musical horizons a bit, so to speak. Is it ok if I bring some sheet music? I've a bad memory for words-in-songs...
Thanks...
Hey, feel free to bring some sheet music. Just be absolutely sure to bring that 414ce with you!
Don't worry about being introverted. Charisse, Steve and Aaron are all super-nice people and I'm sure anyone else who may wish to come will be as well. You will definitely be among friends.
I'm even trying to talk my cousin Terry into coming over from California with her 812ce. This should be a real blast.
Anyone who is interested in Arizona TGF Gathering II please check in here or by e-mailing one of us.
We had a great time on April 3 and hope for an even better time, with more people attending, on May 8.
Be there or be square!!! :)

Ok, so, in the interest of bumping to the top, is someone gonna email me some directions? I just need to know when, so that I can look for it in my "spaminator" (I hate spam, so have everything but known addresses blocked--but, I can review the list of incoming possibles)...
Thanks, all...hope to be there!!
Chris
Check your vBulletin inbox. I just sent you a private message with the directions. Hope to see you and your lovely 414ce on 5/8.... ;)

Just catching up, I am planning on attending this one. Sounds like lots of fun.
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there. I will try and drag along tommygarage also. I'll keep my eye on the thread for details.
All of you that know dozens of songs should recommend a couple so we could play around with them and try and play a song together, just a thought.
My recommendations:
(1) Tequila Sunrise (The Eagles)
(2) House of the Rising Sun (Traditional)
(3) Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald (Gordon Lightfoot)

Ooo, I know Tequila Sunrise!
I've got the room reserved for May 8 from 3:00 p.m. through 9:30 p.m.
I'm really looking forward to seeing you all....and your gorgeous Taylors!

Sounds great! but..
..sadly I won't be able to get into the area nor am I good enough yet to actually play for anyone who's not related to me. :)
NEXT TIME..!
(especially after I can get my grubby paws on a 714-L30!)
Mike:
We definitely expect you next time. We really want to see that 30th Anniversary 714 you're getting. Don't worry about how well you play, you probably do better than you give yourself credit for and we don't do this to see who's got the best chops in the room or anything. Look at it as a learning experience where you'll get to benefit from jamming with some really good players and check out their Taylors as well.
Besides, Yuma is one of the few places where it is a relief to travel from to Phoenix during the summer.

Amen, brother!
I'm looking forward to leaving Yuma when it's 115 and travelling to Phoenix where it's a mere 105.
