We have been talking such an event for a while, but have problems getting focused on where/when to do it.....if we could break that hurdle, we might get somewhere...we've got folks from Miami to JAX.....we had a get-together in St. Augustine beach about 18 months ago....have thought of Orlando, but some folks don't like that spot.

What are you thinking?

I spend time in Sarasota every now and again. Was just there last week in fact.

I missed the Jax hootenanny -- would like to see another...

I know! Let's go to TBondo's house (everybody has to bring their own Chain Saws, though...) ;)

St Augustine is central only if you live in G'ville :D

(he sez from SoFla)

I admit StA is a nice spot though; bit of a drive for me. I can understand people not wanting to endure the runaround that is Orlando; but it is the obviously central town for folks on either side, or N or S... perhaps there's a quiet corner nearby... Howabout that old tavern in Yeehaw Junction???

anyhoo, just finding my way w. the new forum & decided I oughta respond to this thread. Don't have a Taylor, but I am in FL, & might stop in to oooh and aahh at someone else's Taylors. I'll show off my Huss & Dalton to ease the lack of Taylor status, if need be ...

I used to live in Cocoa Beach and my daughter and grandkids live in Melbourne. I'm going to be down there the end of June if anyone wants to get together in the Melbourne, Cocoa Beach, Merritt Island area.

I'm in St Augustine. Though I do tend to hang around Deland a lot lately (halfway between Daytona and Orlando, I'm attending classes at Stetson)

don't forget, I'm in Clearwater!!!!!! very central!!!!!!That's OK. I don't mind crossing the Bay for a Tayloresque get-together.

Now if one or two of us would just take some initiative to put something together...

I live in Miami, far southwest Miami to boot. I'd love to meet other people from the forum and make them suffer through my idiot strummings, but I'd need some rather far advanced planning. Working at a synagogue makes it hard to be away on weekends. I can do it with a plan to cover for me, but it would be hard to get away on less than 3-4 weeks notice.

I'll bite on pretty much any location, but like others would need a little advance notice. I'm south of Daytona. Most anywhere, except maybe all the way south (sorry Miami) would be good. Space coast is great, got grand kids there myself. No problem with Tampa area either, but to try and keep it central I don't know what would be best. If this gets going, just let me know.
I have kind of missed this for a bit.
Tom, keep me warned!

I'm like stratokatsu, some advance planning is best. That said, I'm in, barring any major preplanned event, seeing as how I'm a family guy. E.G. the July 4 weekend is not good :D

Seems we have a very general consenus that mid-state would be the best location, minimizing drivetimes for all... anyone mid-state wish to host a get together? Or have an idea of a feasible meet-up place?

btw seeing as this is no longer the T****r forum, I don't even feel bad about not having an axe of that brand to show off :D

Guys I've been thinking of planning another event. It's contingent on finding a meeting place though. And, it would most probably be in St Augustine again.

Would anyone be able to do that say around July 10th?

How did I never notice before that you were in FL, Lisa?
