Well, here you go. First, Dennis (iq_below_2) and his wife... he must be somewhat smart to have chosen such a lovely lady

This is right in the middle of "Hotel California"... rsimper on a 455res, me on ol' trusty 815ce, Paul (Dennis' friend) on a killer fretless MTD 5, and T.J. (another friend of Dennis) on his Mapex kit. Tbondo and koaguitarman were holding down rythym on the other couch. Sweet...

Thanks to Dennis for the photos! Most of them were kind of dark, so I did my best to clean them up.

Thanks to Dennis for hosting this get-together, TJ and Paul for anchoring the bottom, and Russ, Tom, and Ryan for driving out on such a rainy Southern California night to join in. We had a lot of fun, some pizza, and found a real solid groove on several occasions and keys. Russ brought some of his koa collection (awesome), one of which he subjected to the falling microphone test. Tom (Psalm 150) lead us into some great songs and Dennis became "bongo man" before our eyes. I stayed up too late, and had a great time. Many thanks to all.

I'm safely home (in FL), and looked at the pics to see them on a full size display (versus my Handspring Treo 300).
Dennis and Shoko were my gracious hosts again (I was without rental car, so Dennis drove me both ways too) on Wednesday evening, and I got to meet his mom and dad.
His dad played some songs (way cool), I figured out "Party Doll", which would be my "first song" on another thread, and Dennis and I jammed with TJ playing drums.....wow, was that fun.....we played some blues jams, and I pulled out some more "folk troubadour" gems (including Lou Reed, CSN and Jackson Browne stuff). It is so much fun to play music with a drummer.
Dennis, Shoko, TJ....many thanks...you've got a friend in Fl......I have been blessed many times over by my association with the TGF, finding friends all over the country. God bless all of you.

Tom, Glad you got home ok.... It was fun....
Next time out maybe we can make a run down to Buffalo Bro's and then on down to Guitar trader since I have never been to either place ... After all, I need to help you find your LA guitar ;)
OR ..... if you like ..... just leave your PS14 out here....... I'll take good care of it making sure it's not neglected. Then, whenever you make the trip west, I'll put fresh strings on it and play it some before you get here just to make sure the strings are all streched and ready to hold tune ... :ha:
Look forward to seeing you again....

Dennis,
If we're making that trip (which sounds great), we're doing the Taylor factory tour too.
My PS14 didn't like Cali all that much, but I can agree about needing a cali guitar.
PS...Dennis needs a new forum handle...IQ is below 200, not 2.

Wish I could have been there too!! So sorry I missed you, Tom. Anyway, when you come out next time, and do the Taylor tour, please let me know. I've never been there either. I would love to go with you. Glad you had a nice time here. I would like to meet Dennis and Shoko too.
