Okay, we've talked about it, and it's time to come in from the outhouse, so to speak. I'm calling Natural Bridge State Resort Park myself to get the ball rolling on this. I'll need some help, but I think anyone who comes will be amazed at the beauty of this place as well as how much fun it is to get together with the people from this Forum.
Obviously anyone from Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, the Carolinas (hint, hint), Maryland and Virginia and Oskaloosa, Iowa and all points between and beyond are welcome. Heck, we'll even welcome folks from DC with open arms!
The meeting room at the lodge holds fifty people. Having not talked to them, I'm looking at mid-June, before the 4th of July... maybe between Mothers and Fathers Days. I'll post what I find out. I see it as a mix between a laid-back get-together and a good time to be had by all.
Since this is in the planning stages, any suggestions outside of this idea are welcome, including cities. Lexington comes to mind as a possibility...
If we go the Natural Bridge, there's enough to do there that families would be more than welcome. They are, anyway, but let's face it... not everyone's spouse/sig other wants to sit around listening to a bunch of fanatics talk and play guitars.
So let's get this show on the road!
