View Full Version : Well, I may not be going to NAMM after all....

Well, as I survey my bank account and ponder some impending purchases(good things!) and the prepaid vacations I just paid for, it looks like I may not be going to NAMM at this time. Unless something happens here in the next couple days, like winning the lotto, or I just say "F" it and go, I'll be staying home this time around. Three years in a row is good. I'll make it back next year, no doubt.

I'm kinda sad about it. I don't get to see all my girlfriends, especially Cindy Alexander, a Taylor performer. She's got some great songs and I really enjoy her stuff, a great songwriter. I don't get to snag all the free goodies: lanyards, posters, Elixirs, and more. I don't want to even think about all the great guitars I won't get to play from all the smaller makers downstairs!!

Oh well, such is life. Have a great time y'all!! Wish I was going!

Looks like I won't be there either :(

It was a great thing, and I look forward to hearing reports and seeing lots of pix!

Someday, when some dealer I've spent 10's of thousands with decides that it's not unreasonable for me to ask for a pass, I'll go. I've been trying politely for about 20 years now...

I'm not expecting it to happen, and when it does, I probably won't be able.

So I don't feel a bit sorry for people who miss it, although I am kinda sorry that I'm not sorry. Almost.

:D

Surely there will be many others taking pics, but I will take my camera also, and promise to get some pics. And hopefully post them here as well!

I hope to get together for a short meal or something with all the other TGFer's there!

I should be getting there around noon on Friday; maybe a little earlier. Have some things to do throughout the weekend, but lunch or a drink somewhere could be a welcome respite from the madness.

And make no mistake; madness it is...

Well, I'm in LA right now. :D I'm looking forward to NAMM starting tomorrow. Yeah! Here is my cell phone number in case something gets planned with a bunch of us meeting for lunch or something. I look forward to seeing some of my fellow TGFer's. Don't be shy!

it looks like I'll be able to go Saturday and Sunday ... anyone going to be there then? I'll probably hit Goodall before the main part is open (if they're still downstairs) then head up to Taylor when the main hall is open

CaptBill and I have landed.

Had a great day with everything going about as smoothly as it could have gone. Plane, rental car pickup, hotel, general travel around, etc. Very nice.

Maybe heading down to El Cajon today after some early morning NAMM business.

I'll be taking some photos.
