[edit] Due to a forecasted snowstorm and freezing conditions Saturday night, and limited availability of attendees (understandable since we're so close to Christmas), I am going to have to cancel the party. I hope to reschedule to late January or Early February. I'll start a thread to get a feel for who might be available. Sorry about that, friends and neighbors. :(
John
It's short notice and the schedules are probably filling up fast. This is just a 'test' to see if anyone could make it to my house for a holiday hang-out. I'll provide the goodies. Spouses/significant others welcome. I don't have much (any? :)) flexibility on the date. I'm thinking Sunday, December 14 starting noonish at my house in Warrenton, VA. Would love to have familiar and new faces attend. Bring your guitars and holiday cheer.
Anyone interested/available?

Sounds like a great idea. I'm relatively sure I can make it.

Good news, Tim! That locks it. The party is on! :) Looking forward to it. We can do dinner again...or not, depending on everyone's schedule.

Aaarrrgh! Once again timing bites me on the posterior. I'll be in the middle of the Carribbean on the Disney Magic heading south towards St. Martin.
:(
Of course, that's not exactly a BAD thing...
:)
Sigh...maybe next time.

Cry us a river already! :D Sorry you can't make it, but somehow, I think you will be much happier on your cruise :)
We'll do it again early next year.

Don't let Ryan off the hook that easy! Remember, Rebecca made it to North Carolina all the way from California. Why can't Ryan? Are we not good enough? hehehe

Maybe if you promise to play, sing, and dance, It'd be worth the trip :D

I'd love to be able to come and meet you guys, but my son's Sunday School program is that evening here in Baltimore so I just don't have the window of time to be able to make the trip!
maybe next time...

I don't get back from church until a little after 12. I don't have anything against missing church occasionally, but I'll have to check and see what is on the schedule for that Sunday, and if my absence would be noticed too much.
But even if I can't make it this time, maybe next time I will be able to.
in any event - it's nice to know there are plenty of friendly guitar players in the area!!

Hmm...looks like it would be about a 450 mile round trip for me. It's a distinct possibility. :D
Only issue is the impending holiday...gotta check with the wife to see if going AWOL for a day poses a problem. I'll check back in once I've breached the topic.

Lombardi's - Is that a restaurant? It sounds familiar. No? :)
Sperryville, huh? You must drive right by Cooter's place :)
For those of you who don't know, the real Cooter from The Dukes of Hazzard has a little place not too far from Warrenton (in Sperryville)
YeeeHawwww! :)

Well, it's not looking good for me. 7 hours of driving in one day is a bit much, and there's no room in the schedule for a layover at either end. Hope y'all have a great time...maybe I'll see you in 2004! :)

Just found out I'm going to be out of town but coming home on Sunday. I'm going to try and get home early enough to still attend. I still would like directions when available in case I can get back. I hope you all have a great time and if not this weekend, hopefully in January.
