View Full Version : Southern Indiana???
Are there any other Taylor enthusiasts in Southern Indiana besides me?
Then again, there's not many things in Southern Indiana period.

Though I live just north of Indy, I'd probably venture down to Southern Indiana for a get together. A friend of mine in Evansville would probably also be interested.
I live in Evansville.
Which unfortunately means I have almost no chance of being anywhere near any Taylor festivals I don't start myself.

You are, however, not far from the Beanblossom Bluegrass Festival every year! God, I hope that's still going on. First place I saw Bill Monroe... Flatt and Scruggs... many years ago :)
More details on this bluegrass festival please!
I love Bluegrass!
Hey Oahu, were you born in Evansville?

I just googled it and came up with this website:
http://www.beanblossom.com
It looks like it's grown a bit since my last visit, about 30 years ago! Back then it was almost a word-of-mouth type thing with some extraordinary talent...bring your guitar and jam thing...
First, find Bloomington, then find Nashville (Ind.), then find Beanblossom...
I'd love to get back to Indiana for it one of these years. Some of the best bluegrass in the world! If you go, pick up a nice T-shirt for me :) - I'll owe you!
depending on when, I might be able to come out...I go to evansiville all the time. If we do, we should go to opus 1 music. Grrrrreat store....
T-Shirt- no problem, and thanks for the info:D
Opus 1 is awesome. Steve sells me my Taylors. He's like my drug dealer, but I don't do drugs, I do Taylors. Drugs would probably be cheaper.

I know this is kind of late, but I'm in Southern Indiana too, now. Drop me a line and we'll get together sometime.

There's a group of Martin players ( they welcome other brands ) who meet occasionally in that area ......
http://www.umgf.com/
looks like they just met but they seem to hold a gathering every few months ( I went to one when it was near Indy, had a great time and brought guitars other than Martin )
I can't post a link directly to the last gathering thread, but look under Ohio valley in Events and Local Get Togethers and you'll find it.....

Thought I'd resurrect this thread and see if anybody else is still here in the Evansville - Southern Indiana/Southeastern Illinois/Northwestern Kentucky area?

It looks as if the aforementioned Martin Forumites are meeting in Madison Indiana on December 6th.....
P.S. I was thinking of going but Indianapolis is about as far as I will venture for a day trip.
