Sorry about the delay. I had many things going on at once. My daughter auditioned for and earned a big spot in a musical that will be performed on the two weekends before this camping trip.

I've got a project at home that hinges on the schedule of a carpenter friend without whom I can't do it. I had hoped it would be done by now, but his schedule is packed, and if his next open Saturday is that weekend, I'll have to take a pass. Otherwise, I'll be out for the day on Saturday.

SteveS....I thought the tour was going to be part of the TGF weekend plan....if not, that's fine. I will work Friday and go to Hurkey Creek friday night or Saturday morning... I'll do the tour another time.

Ryan, that is why they make bike racks. Do you need the tent? I have a bike rack you can use too. Hurkey Creek has some nice rides.

Re: the bike- if everyone else is bringing bikes, Ill try and make it happen. Otherwise, im content just sitting around and strumming! :-D

Drat - I have family in town that weekend. Oh, well, I'll get to meet you folk one of these days. The bright side is this will give me more time to practice so that when I finally do meet y'all I don't sound like a total rube!

Hey guys sorry I can't make it. My neighbor and good friend (remember Tony at the summer get together) is having a 40th birthday bash on that Saturday.

How long do you think you're all going to be around Sunday?? I'll check to see how far the camp site is from OC but maybe Sunday morning is a possibility.

I just got an email fram Gardner - He is coming on Friday night and staying until Sunday. :)

Should I post a thread about this not being just a camping trip? I know I would love it if folks came out for the day too. It is a great drive and a wonderful mountain setting that I think anyone would enjoy.

Yeah it is. For me, the drive (once I got off of I-15) was half the fun.

I won't make it up on Friday night; more likely on Saturday...

I'm iffy on the probably not side of things...what with trick or treating and all. And I'm probably getting together with some long time friends in Santa Barbara for the rest of the weekend. But if that ends up falling through I'll try to come up Saturday.

To my TGF friends in the SoCal area:

I am going to do my best to be there on Saturday. As most of you know, I have been looking for a new place to live, and there are some 'possibilites' in North Carolina. So I am attending their gathering this month to see how things go. I am checking into several different things there, from recording, to work, to housing.

I will be back on the 28th, and if there is any way I can make it for the day, I will. I have appreciated getting to know all you nice folks, and will miss you if and/or when I move.
