We are getting close. We had decided on a date, but as we are getiing close it seems that two Steves (Me and Steve 314) can't make it on Oct 17-19. So it looks like we might have to pick another date. I wsh everyone could come, but I know that will never be the case. Please select dates that you could come and we'll pick one.
You can vote for more thatn one weekend.
It looks like the last one is best for me.

I can't come on Oct 17- 19 or 24 -26. The only weekend that works for me is Oct 31-Nov 2.

Looks like you are getting polled right off your own camping trip!
I think you should have made the poll look like this:

Please select dates that you could come and we'll pick one.
You can vote for more than one weekend.
Oct 31 - Nov 2
Thanks for voting!

The first two week-ends I will be gone. The 3rd week-end that we had planned was fine but I guess that is a bad week-end for lots of others. The last two week-ends are open (I think).

I was't going to say anything. But since you brought it up---

YOU ALL SUCK-- HAVE FUN. I HOPE IT RAINS-- I'M NOT COMING!!!

Just kidding.
I'll be there singing "Muskrat Love" as loud as I can!

We'll work something out.

I voted for the last two weekends. At this point, either will work for me . . . unless SteveS is serious about "Muskrat Love," in which case I'm driving in the other direction. :)

Muskrat, muskrat candlelight
Doin’ the town in and doin’ it right
In the evenin’
It’s pretty pleasin’

Muskrat Suzy and muskrat Sam
Do the jitterbug out at Muskratland
And they shimmy
Sam, he’s so skinny

Chorus:
And they whirl and they twirl and they tango
Singin’ and jingin’ the jango
Floatin’ like the heavens above
Looks like muskrat love

Nibbling on bacon, chewin’ on cheese
Sammy says to Suzy:
“Honey, would you please
Be my missus?”
And she say yes with her kisses

So he’s ticklin’ her fancy, rubbin’ her toes
Muzzle to muzzle now, anything goes
As they wiggle,
And ol’ Sue starts to giggle.

Chorus

La da da da da . . .

I often get a tear in my eye with the niblling on bacon line.

Steve Like you don't.:p That song rocks dude. I just love the open chord transitions F#m, G#m, A played open at the 6th fret. La da di dat da. Oh so fine.:) I loved playing it with you last year. Your lead licks were so sweet.

Well, I have no idea where I've been, but I don't think I've ever HEARD that song! I'm gonna have to come now. Just to hear Steve and Steve sing and play it!

SteveS, I left you a message in Open Mic about when this event is actually taking place, so I can schedule the rest of my life around it! Let us know as soon as possible, it will be posted here, right? Thanks. :)

Anyone want to second this motion?.......:ha: (apologies to all who disagree...I'm only trying to finalize this for the benefit of all interested parties...)

I think the weekend of 10/31-11/02 could work for me. It'll put a cramp in my trick-or-treating, but I guess I can skip a year...

You could come to the camp-out dressed like a muskrat!
Of course SteveS has a thing for them so on second thought...
you might wake up all snuggled up with Steve spooning you.

Halloween weekend...I didn't think about that...I haven't gone trick-or-treating in quite awhile but I'm sure many of you have kids that will want to do this...oh well....back to the list of choices?...

I usually refrain from jumping into these types of posts, but this one cracked me up (as well as the one it referenced!)

You're funny, Steve. And it would seem as though as you and SteveS are quite close.

By the way, any other girls coming to this thing?
Course if all the guys are going to be dressing as muskrats and cozing up together, I may not need to worry about that.

Hi Rebecca,
Depending on what date is finalized my wife (applecartjane) and I will be attending. Unfortunately we will be coming in the standard garb, non-muskrat love. :p

I would suggest banning cameras or recording devices from this event.

I am not sure why I care... But did the Carpenter's do the original version of MUSKRAT LOVE ? Tom

cpmusic
09-19-2003, 08:30 PM
No, it wasn't the Carpenters. The original version was done by America, and I think they even wrote it.

Hey, as long as he doesn't get within spin-range of a swinging Alvarez, he'll be fine...

Since it's Halloween, I'll be the wolf dressed in sheep's clothing...
