It has been a while since we all got together. In the last month or so, I have talked to MJH and the owner of Mojo's Music (where we held the last one) and both said it was about time to do it again.
What do you all think? I can make Mojo's happen again if you like.
Hey Tom,
I'd be there! Enjoyed it last time when I was a newbie, and it would be great to do again.
See ya there,
Dale

I'm just up the road in Springfield, IL, and I'd love to be there!!!!!!
I'd love to do it again! Any idea of a date? Let me know what I can do to help.

I'd love to do it too. Last time I was out of town. I've got a pretty busy schedule the next couple months. I imagine we're talking most likely about a Saturday. The ones I'm in town for are: Sep 20th, Oct 4th, and Oct 18th.

Sweet.
Looks like we have some interest. I will check with Bob and see what is a good day for him. Saturday is the likely day. Maybe we could even schedule it around one of MJH's gigs at the local pub. How's that for pressure Mark?
That sounds great! The problem is I play on Friday nights. I also won't start until the end of September or first of October, but if anyone wants to come for that, I am all for it.

This was just getting a little too far down the list. Can't have that.

Good call.
BTW, we are going to have our annual bonfire again this year. Either the first saturday in October or last saturday in September. My bluegrass band plays a little and it turns into an open mic. We do hotdogs (you cook on sticks) and beer/soda. You bring all the rest.
Would you like to try to combine events?

Tom, Sounds like a great idea. We're back in town by then and would look forward to it.

OK, it looks like October 4th is it.
We typically do the thing from 3:00-well after Midnight with band starting early evening time. We could certainly stand some jam time before that.
I will post more details as we get closer. It will be in Alton (actually Godfrey) about 30 minutes north of Downtown St. Louis.

I am thinking that part of the time, we can do some open mic / round robin jamming stuff as I will have my PA there.

That is too kind. We normally have plenty of help on this. I can hook you up with some fun places to visit if you like. :)
Email me offline and we can talk.

I just saw this in another thread...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2557381343&category=33031
The seller's location is in Edwardville.
"MJH": Do you know who this hoodlum is?:ha:
Look at the guitar's end-pin jack!
"...get a rope!":(
:)
I have no idea. There certainly had to be a different solution for the endpin jack. Maybe that is why he is selling it. I'll try and find out more.

ahhh bummer man! :(
October 4th is my wedding anniversary. Although I might suggest to my wife that we attend the St. Louis gathering for our date...as supportive as she is of my personal interests, suggesting a date night of me hanging with my fellow forum addicts might now go over too well...:)
Anyone going to the guitar show this weekend, if so...what day?
You'll find me gravitating around another newly discovered love...the
Jamie Kinscherff Guitar booth. If you haven't heard this small luthiers work...you're missing out.

OK, update....
The party is going to start around 4.
I was thinking that maybe Mark could host a gang at Mojo's if anyone wanted to get together there early and play with toys and then trek over to the party together???
Just a thought. In any case, party is 4pm on and music starting after dark.
