The thread on peanut butter got me to thinking about a fall jam for fellow TGF friends who might be in striking distance of Atlanta and since every one likes peanut butter that could be the theme.
Any way I have been wanting to ''Stick my toe in the water'' and see how many folks would like to get together here at my studio for a get to gether this fall and what day we would all prefer.
I am in Tucker GA just north of Atlanta , more like a suburb.
I am right off interstate 85 and 285 and easy to find from out of town. I would like to get a headcount on who can come and would come if able and see if it is doable for me to have it here.
Last one I went to had about ten of us and it worked good at that size . Everyone had time to play and sing their originals and jam along together , have a lunch and refreshment and then get back home in a couple hours max.
Could I get some imput please? I know it's a while till Fall but it will be here before we know it so let me know if interested.
Thanks . :)
It's got the word JAM in it, so I feel obligated to be there. :) I could give you a more definite answer if I knew the date.

No doubt we will need to get a date right now I am getting emails with availability dates and I will take ever one to heart and we must remember not to wait too close to holidays so it could go down soon as the chill is on the lilly so to speak. My guess around first or second weekend in Oct but September is not too early for me . It would probably best be a Saturday as many of you are in Worship on Sundays and some travel time
would be involved so lets throw that out for now and see what
interest develope in the next week or so .
I will be 60 in October so we might should do it before that less I fall over dead LOL If I knew I would live this long I would have taken better care.

The Collings should be back from the shop with a new pickup in it by then and I can't wait to hear it. You can play it all you like and bring that fab sounding 72 along tooooooooo. We might have time to put down a track and see how it does with the maple.
Looking forward to everyone Taylors . Big fun . Always wondered what stitka would look like with grape jelly accents . LOL

Thanks for noticing Rick, As soon as they moved the thread to this location , it died. I figured as soon as I figured out what the best time for the jam would be I will announce it on the main subject page and maybe by the time it gets moved again every one will know. Im thinking right now to do it the second saturday in October the 11th . The only thing is the big 60 Birthday is the 8th and the closest weekend is the 11th and my wife might have something up her sleeve that weekend concerning that. Another idea is just to get on with it and have it the first saturday in september which is the 6th and I don't think there is anything conflicting that weekend with work or play my wifes bd is the weekend before that so that should be cool for me. Any ideas
out there if anyone reads this page at all. LOL

WE are currently talking the first Saturday in September which is the 6th of September so everyone blast me with your emails as that is like only two weeks away.
The plan is to meet here at early lunch from then till our fingers bleed we will pick and exchange peanut butter ideas while eating same to keep the hungry monster away . I ll have something to wash it all down with and pleanty of supplies to fixem with and then if it goes late I will have a frige full of pizza just in case.
So let's talk it up two hours or so away is doable one fella is coming all the way from Florida ( yeah he is a shoe in for the longest to come from prize) TBA LOL
Sounds like it is going to be a quick decision kind of event and sometimes that goes better than planning a lot so lets just do it as they say at Nike and have some fun . If it is fun we can always do it again. LOL

If you have it late in October, I may even join you from California. I will be visiting family in Arkansas then. How far is Springdale, AR, from where you are all meeting?

OK just to make sure there is no Confusion now regarding the Peanut Butter Jelly and Jam I will make the decision now to have the Jam on September 6th as planned as it makes no sense to compete with the Conyers Jam in October. I have visited the site for that one from "little brother'' and from what I could see I might try to make that one myself.
However this September Jam is much smaller scale and I hope to see the folks that have contacted me so far and a few more as we get closer . I will have the Jam even if only a half dozen who have indicated they might be able to come do as I do not have room for a huge crowd anyway.
So as we draw nearer to the sixth here is the plan.
We would all meet here in Tucker at my studio/home and have show and tell Taylor style and get rolling about early lunch time and at least one Taylor fan who is coming from far away will be a little late getting here so we will just have the peanut butter lunch and try out each other recipes for sandwiches and combinations as we get to know each other and then pick tll dark or until evrery one has had enough . Most will have a two hour drive or more so we are not having alchohol but those who want to go longer into the evening I will have plenty of pizza to cover hunger pains and take care of late comers like the florida boys.
So that takes care of that. I look forward to meeting those I have yet to meet and reaquainting with those I have met at previous jams and hope we all are able to have a good time with our Taylors and such. I am going to copy and paste this message to the other one in the main forum thread. So hopefully no one will get lost in the shuffle.
See you all there. email me for RSVP's and directions . I will make up an attachment today for directions . I will provide all the makings for the PB&J's , milk , coke, and tea. Anything you need to add to that let me know. and of course bannanas and dill pickles LOL
Is this a jam or a prgnant food service. LOL
