Just an informal "Hi how are you. NO big plans, heck, no real plans at all . . .!
I will be having brunch with the lovely and talented jmeinel at Pigalle on the corner of 48th and Eighth Ave that morning.
If I remember I will wear at TGF Tee Shirt!
Come by and join us at 11-ish if you want to eat or come by for a cup of coffee at 11:30-ish.
From there we will saunter over to Manny's on 48th between Ave of the Americas (6th Ave) and Seventh Aves.
Meet up there at NOON-ish under Manny's awning. If the weather is rainy, just go inside the door walk straight back to the right and into the Acoustic Guitar room.
From Manny's we will visit some other 48th Street notables as there are NO TAYLORS in Manny's! But there are Larrivees and Breedloves, etc.
So far I have met ~j~ and VFran in the Apple and look forward to meeting a few new faces as well!
RSVP here if you can otherwise just show up!:)

Joe,
Don't know if I can make it into the city that day, but Rudy's Music Stop on 48th (Across the street from manny's) on the 2nd floor (The acoustic floor) has a TON of high end Taylors. Gordon French over there is the 5th largest Taylor Dealer in the country.
Have Fun
Alex

I'd love to come down for it but I'm driving to the Martin Guitar Forum get-together in Nazareth that day and not being a New Yorker the idea of DRIVING into New York just frightens the beegeezus out of me!
If you do it again I'd like to try and come!

Wish I could make it but I'm playing up here. One of these days!
I'm playing in Southampton NY in October...maybe if anyone has a place out there you could have the chauffeur pick me up...:)

I will try to roll over to Manny's on Saturday if my workload permits me. Gordon at Rudy's is a very nice guy and he does have an amazing selection of Taylors in addition to some very nice other high end guitars. Hope to see some of you guys next week.

I'd love to make it, but sadly, I don't think I can. I had some spare time after work on Wednesday and I hit all of the stores on 48th, so I'm up to speed. Also, being 15, my parents aren't too hot on the idea of me going into the city alone. Maybe next time.
Enjoy yourselves, fellas!

Wish I could make it, but I'll be at Gryphon Stringed Instruments in Palo Alto, California with a bunch of Taylor geeks that day.

Gsnyde...could you do me a favor?
At Gryphon there is (or used to be) a big WWI-era Gibson archtop up on a wall. No f-holes; it has an oval sound hole. Dark finish.
Could you find out what model and year it is?
I emailed them about it but never heard back.
Cool guitar...kind of like a Super 400 prototype.
Thanks.

Ditto. I'm in the city everyday, so I catch up with the family on the weekend.

Well, I'll obviously be there.
You should all come...no excuses accepted. :p
For those of you who can't come, I'm also thinking of doing "Screen on the Green" Monday night. It's the last movie and it's "2001: A Space Odessy". I've never seen it and after reading the huge thread about it, I think it's time. If anyone wants to do that with me, let me know.

Why don't all us who are around during the week get together during a lunch break one of these days???
I'm in mid-town. Anyone else game?

Actually, one time he had a lefty 710 there, but i was too inexperienced to even take it down. anyway. I hope you all have a great time.

I think I'm going to meet you at Manny's. I don't want to say I'll be there for tea and be late. I'll be bringing Sarah(11), so I'll be counting the minutes till she says "I'm bored, are we going home yet?"

We had a nice time together!
Jennifer showed up wearing the exact same tee shirt as me and similar glasses. That girl is ALWAYS COPYING ME!!! ;)
j/k sarge!
Jenn and I decided to call our getting together again on the 1 year anniversary of TaylorStock "MiniStock." :)
We saw some nice Taylors at Sam Ash (particularly sweet was a 514 CE) and then had a great conversation with Gordon French over at Rudy's who has several very cool guitars.
Mark reminded us that there is a terrigfic exhibit at Rockefeller Center for the Centennial of Flight and after he and Sarah went, the remaining four of us went over there for another hour or so.
The best part was seeing Jennifer again, meeting TaylorPoor and his wife and meeting BloomfieldMAP and daughter Sarah.
I'll put together a webpage with lotsa pics on it and post a link soon.

I like how you're all standing in front of Martins.
Always good to see faces to put with names . . .
Wish I could have made it. New York isn't that far away, so perhaps I could make it up there sometime for an all-day sort of get together. A little far to drive just for lunch and browsing, though. :)
Glad everyone had a good time!
