Hey A1 and everybody,

IT IS OFFICIAL; PUGSLEY'S IS BOOKED FOR AUGUST 16TH!

All are welcome!

Puglseys Web Site (http://www.pugsleys.com/)

I went by this afternoon I met with the manager and finalized everything. I got her to agree to give us both rooms for the price of one! This should handle 40+. The rooms have 2 pool tables, darts, TV's, Couches, Overstuffed Chairs, as many regular chairs as needed.

The facility is a full sports bar with everything mentioned above! This is a very large facility!

We are set for the 16th @ 11:00 A.M.! This will be a come and go as you please. We can play as long as we want. Pugsleys has a live band coming in @ 7:00 that some of you may want to watch.

We will be splitting the cost of the room with everyone who attends, spouses or significant others need not pay. If you come with a buddy who plays please pay for 2. We are hoping to keep the cost of the room to $10 - $15 per person.

We do need to confirm with A1hOpper if you plan on attending. Here is his email, wkilgore@amsis.com

I did have to give my credit card and must cancel by the 2nd or I will be charged for the room. We need to get a confirmed list, and we might even get $10 bucks or so in advance if everyone is OK with that. I will set up my pay pal account, as we get closer. I would appreciate some early donations so we can keep the room reserved!

As well, I had a conversation with Larry Morgan of Morgan Music; I let him know about our deal! I told Larry he could show off some stuff and offer us discounts on merchandise in exchange for letting him promote some of his goods during the jam session. He may bring some different amps and PA systems for us to "test" out to see what sounds best with the ES. I will follow up with Larry. I'm hoping he can get some of his vendors to supply some goodies!

JR, Please be kind enough to leave this in General Discussion since that is where everyone has been looking the last month or so! Thanks Bud! First North Texas Thread (http://www.taylorguitarforum.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=23429&perpage=15&pagenumber=1)

Awesome, way to go on the arrangements -- sounds perfect. I think I'm already on the list. I just don't know if my wife will go, but I will be there.

Non-Taylors are most certainly welcomed....

As I mentioned before, if they come without one, we'll make sure they leave wanting one...LOL.

LOL...I do respond....

Just haven't gotten a lot of confirmations this time around. The tally that I currently have is 17. I'll send another email out this week to everyone my list, and will request forum names so we can get a list up here of all of those who have tentatively confirmed.

Then we can hammer everyone who hasn't...LOL.

So, as we approach the event, I am remembering last time that we had a hard time jamming together since we all knew different stuff. Some of us knew words, others chords, etc. It was suggested that we come up with some sort of book with chords and words for some songs that we would like to play together.

I am willing to put that together, if people will email me chord sheets and words for a few of their favorite songs. If left to me, I will put in some JT, Beatles, Paul Simon, etc. However, then I am choosing.

It would be better if each participant would each email me a word doc with the chords and words for a few of each of our favorite songs.

Any takers? Email docs to feinstei@swbell.net.

I'll make maybe 15 - 20 copies of the booklet. Sound good?

Sounds like a great idea, but I know none of that. :) Hehe.

The magic day is getting closer.

August 16th @ Pugsleys. Please remember I have reserved the rooms with a deposit. If we don't cancel 14 days in advance I've got to eat the bill.:(

Could we start a new thread or lets at least start the process of verifying who will attend.

Thanks!

Hey Guys,

Just over a week away to confirm the reservation. I need a total head count of "paying" participants.

Please let me know who will attend.

I need to know by August 1st so I don't get hit with a big fee.

Thanks!
