So. Cal TGF members-
Please let me know your preference for the date of the So. Cal TGF get together. As discussed in another thread, I would like to host the event at my home in Dana Point.
My preference would be Saturday, June 28 since my sense is that date would work for most people. I apologize for the changing dates but I would like to accomodate as many of you as possible.
Once the people have spoken we will ink the date. If you are considered really cool, you can vote twice but if you're just somewhat cool, then only one vote.
Signed,
Vito "Don Corleone"

WOW Vito. It looks like you can have one person on the 14th or two on the 28th. (This is a little bump.)

I voted for the 14th, but I think the 28th will work. I know the 21st it out.

Thanks Chris. Except for me, you are the only one to vote for the 14th. Ever since I said I could not make the 28th everyone else has voted for the 28th. They all suck! I know who my real friends are now!

As it stands, I'm good for any date. Of course, my darling bride could decide at any time that my time belongs to her calendar, but I'm looking forward to seeing the gang again. Can't wait to play my cowboy version of 'Fire and Rain" for Chris!(can't do it the JT way like Chris does...)
See you then, Jordy

Well, it's looking like the people have spoken, 6/28 it is.....SteveS, we really need your coolness to balance out the other cool Steve. Is there anything we can help you get out of on that Saturday?? :(
Ryan will volunteer to cut your lawn or do any chore that might be holding you back. :D
Look forward to seeing all of you! I'll send out emails in the next few weeks with directions, logistics, etc. If your email is blocked, please send me your email info. Any suggestions to food, format, etc. are welcome and appreciated.
I was thinking of setting up a little PA system for an open mic (I just bought a power mixer and we could plug in several guitars and mics) for at least a portion of the afternoon (but I'm just thinking out loud).

Vito, cool idea on the "Open Mic", as long as everyone agrees to do a little something. How cool are your neighbors?
I, too, hope SteveS can arrange to be there. If he doesn't, my excessive coolness may run amok...

Steve I missed the cool idea of Vito's on the "Open Mic". Anyone care to explain?
If this thing is on the 28th, I'll be in Idaho. So I'll hope you guys have a great time. I'll put together another camping trip in late summer. Ryan, when do you head back for school?

Hey Vito
I also have some sound equipment. Yamaha EMX 640 Mixer, speakers, mics, stands, cables, etc..... Let me know if you need any additional stuff for the open mic. Maybe we should record a demo of the event so we can come out with the SCTGFOMCD (so cal tgf open mic cd).

Vito,
I could make the 28th, how many other TGF'ers do you think will make it and what could we bring to help?:)

Russ- I have a Behringer PMX2000 Power Mixer and access to JBL mains and Yahama monitors. I was thinking we would only need to use the monitors because it would be just too much fire power to hook everything up. The Mixer has a channel for recording but since I just got it about 2 weeks ago, I have no idea how to use that feature at this point. If you guys are up for recording some of it, then feel free to bring some of your recording equipment. I think it will be fun to have some equipment set up for an open mic but at the same tiime I don't want to take away from the spontaneous 6 man/women jams that will be "unplugged." But at least if someone had the itch to plug in a play something for the group we would have it set up.
PS- I can't wait to see some of your Koa!!
HangFire- Great you can make it and your presence is the only present needed. :) Thx Of course if you have any suggestions, please email me or post.
This should be fun!!

Any date EXCEPT the 14th will work for me. So I'll vote once for the 21st and once for the 28th. Or is that a bad idea? I don't think of myself in terms of cool. I think that's more of a guy thing.

Hi Vito,
My maiden name was DiVito. So I'm Italian too. Anyway, are we suposed to bring all of our guitars to these things? Or just one?
And how about food?

That's great, being Italian automatically gets you into the VIP room with the special guitars!
Feel free to bring more than 1 guitar...I'm planning to bring more than one. ;)
I will take care of the food/beverages (or my better half will) but if anyone has suggestions and/or special needs please let me know. I was thinking of doing a platter of subs from Togos/Subway but I'm open.
Date: Sat 6/28 at noon. I will send out emails with directions but as a reference point, we live in Dana Point right by the St. Regis Resort at Monarch Beach on Niguel Rd just north of PCH.
