Hey CPA,
great progress, and the class of 2010 is looking really good. A few things I noticed or was wondering:
- Your 1301 back not only resembles ...., :D (needed to be careful not to get the post removed), but the back of the sides together with the end wedge really looks like a face. Awesome!
- Last year's class (Commando, BillyBoy etc) contained two colorful mates, a Pernambuco and a Pink Ivory. No pink this time. I guess the yellow is another pernambuco?
- You really should get someone like Craig Lanvin or Larry Robertson do an inlay on the fingerboard or headstock that looks like the flower on the head of your daughter :D
Enjoy the build

I have one better...the custom inlay I am doing is being done by the man himself....top secret inlay...I would have to kill you if I told you.

Am I the only one that can appreciate the anatomical correctness of this guitar?
...maybe it is just you and me...

CPA,
Here's an attempt to give you a visual of what the guitar could look like using the picture of the wood for the back you posted. I hope this helps you to see what a stunner this guitar is going to be! Congrats on the build and a great guitar!

Hey Keith -
That wide paua rosette is cool. In fact Jim and I spoke about doing it on my Italian/Braz SJ. If I didn't want a matching set of SJs I may have gone with it.
Keep those pix coming man!
