December In South Florida

Just in conversation with ezsurfer the other day, he asked if it wasn't time for another South Florida jam.

Would anyone be interested in getting together sometime during December? Unless someone else steps forward, I'd be happy to host, though I am about the farthest south of anyone, (other than ezsurfer), but it's always my pleasure.

Any of the first three weekends are fine.

What do the rest of you think?

Would anyone be interested in a jam the 19th or 20th? How's that weekend? I wouldn't mind the 26th or 27th, when everyone could bring the new guitars they got for Christmas or Hanukkah. :D

OK, it sounds like a plan.....don't know what will be happening by then (it always seems that everything happens on the same weekend during the December holiday season), but if available I'm planning to attend.

Just got home from the "hills" last night. Been out of touch with the world for a couple weeks at the cabin. I'm in unless something I don't know about comes up.

I should be able to attend most any weekend in Dec. So just let me know what is decided on a date and a place.

Sure (assuming schedules work, etc.).....we gonna shop for anything on the way down?

It's looking like the weekend of the 12th or 13th is best for us. Our kids should be arriving around the next weekend, so the guest room needs to be ready for them and I wouldn't want sleeping babies to put a damper on the jam if I held it the next weekend.

How about Saturday the 12th? Start around 10:30 in the morning and go until whatever time people drift away. We'll supply lunch of some sort and weather permitting, use the patio. If it's rainy or too hot, we'll come inside.

How's that for everybody?

Now, if someone else would like to host, I'm sure the rest of us who do would be happy to consult for a first timer. Anyone up north wanna do it?

OK - as usual, I probably spoke too soon. Weekend of 12th is Chanukah and would be better that I avoid planning on that weekend. So, I can host on Sunday 12/6 or 12/20. That being said, if everyone is geared up for the 11th or 12th - then I'll have to pass on hosting. If everyone would confirm their availability, between Dennis and I we will lock this down.

Yep, I pretty much better stick to that weekend of the 11th or 12th as I will probably be playing the following weekend. And possibly the one before as well.

Gotta get some info and make a call down there to see if I can do my other business in person on the Fri before or Mon after still.

Plenty of pool space for the jam, I can turn on the pool heaters if the weather cools off too much! :D

Just making sure we have options. I know Dennis was trying to save those Northerners some travel time, but seems they're pooling on us already, so they can tag team drive...
