Kel and I are considering a gathering in Louisville, Kain-Tuck-Ee in the non-time of February. Think of it... something to actually do when everything is stopped! We're thinking a Saturday late morning into the night. We'd love to have anyone who would like to come. There's also a neighborhood bar where we could pretty much take over for the night and allow people to do an open mike. It's a hole in the wall, but the owner would likely really be into it, and it's simple but clean. We're looking for about 10 people who could come to make this happen... no more than 15, at least this year.
I know there are people in Indiana, Illinois and Ohio who could likely come. If nothing else, we could hang out, play, party and enjoy the company of other enthusiasts. Any takers?

Although it's tough for me to plan that far ahead Wade, it's a possibility.
Still trying to decide about my Florida trip this year, if I don't go, I may take two shorter (distance and time) jaunts south. I'll keep it in mind....

Man, I would love to get back to Louisville to visit friends and relatives. If the currently nonexistent job situation improves, maybe...

:)If she's Irish, she's even more welcome, thanks to the Durneys, Clarks and O'Neills that brought us into this world! If not, we welcome all musicians anytime. :)

Tad,
You are absolutely welcome to come... or if you happen to be traveling our door is always open anyway. :)

This deserves to stay near the top...and consider me a strong possible for attending...

Hmmmm......let's see, Folk Alliance is in Memphis Feb. 17-20 (I usually arrive the 16th, driving down from Chicago, and leave the 21st). A couple days before or after would be ideal.

I would love to attend this. I live here in Old Louisville. Will you keep me posted on the plans as they progress?

By my calculations that would be about a seven hour drive from where I'm sitting. I would be interested if your guest list isn't too full.
Set a date and see what happens!

I sent a link for this to my son in Louisville, and encouraged him to join the AGF (he's a better player than I!) and suggested he might be interested. But upon checking to see if there were any updates couldn't find it in the Gatherings page.
So, this reply is to 1) see if the thread pops into view again; 2) raise the awareness of the gathering again; 3) see if any updates to the date or place have been made; and 4) mention that if it worked out I'd like to try to make it!
So, here goes the try for #1!!

riorider, anytime your son wants to stop by is fine. We can talk guitars and have a good time but... since my left wrist was paralyzed in November we will likely be putting this off until there is a more complete recovery. Possibly June?
Anyway, I think it would be fun, but right now we have some struggles we didn't foresee. Well, *I* have some struggles...
I'll keep this updated.
