An acoustic open mic starting this Monday (11/2) and every Monday at the Wylde Child Coffee House/Tattoo Parlor in Merrick. This is actually in the same location as the old Garan's Tackle Shop at 1708 Merrick Rd. in Merrick, a quarter mile east of the Meadowbrook on Sunrise Highway on the right hand side. Plenty of parking.
We start at 7:30 p.m. and finish around 11 p.m. with sign up's starting at 7 p.m. This is a nice early start for all of you guitarists, singers and harp players who have real jobs, school or who want to fish in the mornings. You can sign up to play ahead of time by e mail Rich@thefishingline.com or call ahead 516-889-6895 during the day only. Everything provided, just bring tour acoustic/electric guitar. Non plug in acoustics we’re really not set up for.
This is an intimate coffee house atmosphere with coffee and deserts. This is open to ALL ages and both high school and college aged young adults. There is no alcohol served on the premises...but I imagine you can bring your own Sambuca for your coffee if you are OVER 21! Call ahead for that.
