I am a new guitar player (I did play folk guitar as a teenager 30 years ago) and would like to find a good beginner folk/jazz/blues guitar teacher in the Rhode Island area. Does anyone know of any?

Don't think he teaches, but someone to "study from" is Rhode Island bluesman, Paul Geremia: http://www.paulgeremia.org/

If you're in Southern R.I., and don't mind a short trip, contact Ed Aledia at Caruso Music in New London. My wife takes lessons from him and he is not only a fabulous guitar player, but a good teacher as well. Very patient, knowledgeable in various styles, and willing to teach you what you want to learn - not what he wants to teach. Very rare in a guitar instructor. :-)

Where abouts in RI are you?

I know instructors in Warwick and Wakefield.
