I would say A, D, G & A again (like you said).

Also, check this out:

It's a web-based "chord namer". Pretty cool what they have on the web these days. starting to sound old.

Hi LJ,
High e is ringing (sounds like a seventh or ninth when played, really). Low e is not played.

Interesting...
Esus4 or A5/E (I think it's an A5/E played in a minor scale)
Dsus2sus4 - this looks really cool it's a 1-2-4-5 .... nice
Bsus4??

I'm confused...

Hi Alex...
So are these from an existing song? Recording?

Chords are contextual so it's hard to assign names to them without the context...are other instruments playing, if so what's the bass player or keyboardist or other guitarist playing (if they exist)?

Pure guesses:
A5/E
G6/D
D2/A or D9/A
A5/E

Yes, part of a recording, Bass is playing A - G - D - A, the keys I think are Am - D - G - Am...

Hi Alex...
So tune up with the recording and play those chords in first position & see if they fit - if so you have the answer.

If you are asking about what you are actually playing they are all root-fifth chord inversions i.e. A/E, G/D & D/A so you've got A, G and D "power" chords.
The actual chord qualitiy would have to come from another voice, but this progression I (A) - flat VII (G) - IV (D) is fairly common in classic rock type songs. As an aside most folks I know would play these on the top four strings but to each his own.

Additional tidbit/factoid, the A chord is what opens "Alright Now" by Free
