Karen and I are planning to host our second Autumn and third altogether Baltimore Guitogether on Saturday October 17th, here about a mile north of the Hopkins campus.

I am in the running business and this is the best open weekend after the Baltimore Marathon. If you were here last time mark your calendars and details will be forthcoming.

Just a reminder bump, as the next two weekends are going to be killer on me. If only Jeff, Bill and Alan make it the guitotogether will be awesome! So let me know backchannel at jim@baltimorerunning.com if you are planning to come too. I will put details (directions, etc, ) up about a week out. We are in Baltimore about a mile north of the Johns Hopkins campus, relatively easy to get to.

Just a reminder bump, next week I will ask for some back channekl RSVP's to get an idea of how much food and drink to provide! You should planning on bringing a couple of songs, even if you don't think they will pass a group muster I can guarantee you that we will try to make it a memorable event!

Hello All,

We are hosting another guitargether on Saturday, October October 17, along the lines of what we did last fall. Last time folks started arriving sometime around either one or two, and kept coming and going until the evening. This is generally an afternoon type affair with some light fare throughout the day.

The general location is the 800 block of West University Parkway, Baltimore, 21210. The offload is easy because there is a bus stop right in front of the house where you can offload with the emergency blinkers on. The car will need to be moved a bit down the street though, as that is a ticket zone. (The bus does not run on weekends, but the sign does say No Parking anytime). If no parking, just go to the red light and do a U turn and come back up the street, looking for parking. It is not generally a problem.

I would appreciate on RSVP by PM on the boards. If you aren't signed up on this board and don't want to, you can email me at jim@baltimorerunning.com, but it might get lost with the bulkmail.

Regards,

Jim Adams

I just cut and pasted an old post. The exact location is 847 West University Parkway. For most people, from I 83 take the Cold Spring Lane exit East and turn right at the top of the hill on Roland Avenue. The next light the street will split at a traffic signal, just bear to the left. We are about two hundred yards down, right were Overhill intersects University Pkwy. A fire hydrant is next to the sidewalk.

Have to say this was another really nice gathering. Smaller group this time but a one I really enjoyed. Good company and nice playing. Jim and Karen are warm and gracious hosts. Hope this group will come down to Washington for the 'bash' on the 14th. Sounds like at least a couple are going to see Barenburg at Common Ground next month which I am also looking forward to. Thanks to Jim and Karen for opening up their home for this and making it happen. Hope to return the favor soon. These gatherings really bring the forum discussions to life.

I wish my day hadn't been so booked up. These are great events and I'm sorry I missed it. I'll be looking forward to the spring.
