According to my iPhone, and the way I've usually fingered that chord (and it wasn't a dumb question):

That was my guess but on cord find it was F#/Gb then minor on the finder.
I will try to learn it that way.
.
Thanks

That is the correct way to play it. I am a relative newbie myself but isn't a F sharp minor the same as G flat minor? Were you confused by the 2 names?

:D I am sitting here bouncing the heal of my right hand off my forehead:D
It was F#/Gb on the chart. I don't know what I was thinking. Just a combination of being a newbie and old I guess.

Guitar Toolkit. The version I have also provides a guitar tuner that works quite well which is why I bought it. The chord dictionary, for me, was a bonus as I don't know the names of most chords even though I've been playing for many years. The "lite" version doesn't have the tuner section.

If bar chords are tough for you, you can often substitute an F#m7 for the F#m. It would be 2X222X. (If you're strumming, you'll have to mute the 5th and 1st strings)

That's one of my very favorite chords to work with. I use it when I'm writing songs heavy with A, E, D chords. Blends well.
